I was a victim of domestic violence, but was able to walk away from it. Although I spent several years wondering if he would shoot me in the dark one night, I was lucky. So many women don't have that luck.
I know that feeling too...
I am glad you got away! I spent 10 years in an abusive relationship. When I got out..he followed..but I put him in the state pen for 7 years!
I never went through this type of behavior watching my back...but I am aware, i have seen and it scares me.Allah bles you all for being survivors.
mam i am egyptian and i live in egypt . i agree with u that . and it must be stopped . but i believe that v.a.w is internationally committed . thats the nature dear if two men fought each other the weak will lose thus ladies have to make the wise choice about her bed mate or her opponent .
May the Almighty grant such strength to all the victims of Domestic Violence.............and may He enlighten the minds of those men who keep abusing and bruising there partners instead of utilising there physical strength in protecting them...........!
Hope someday these morons will learn to respect a women's heart..............and thus behave more like a Human than an animal...........even animals are better than these suckers 'cause they atleast protect their own clan!
God bless such creatures!
Traci Tucker U broke the ice with him good for u. Jail is where he need and should be. Good luck.
I grew up watching this kind of abuse betweenmy parents and i want all women to sign this peition,it i inportant!!!!!!!
Domestic violence needs to be stopped. We need to raise future generations with maturity and The Truth.
We need to raise our children with the knowledge and maturity of real men and women do not resort to violence in relationships. They are to build each other up, strengthen and support each other. As iron sharpens iron, a man and a woman are to grow in strength, love, respect, commitment and accountability to God.
AMEN! I am glad to see I am not the only one who thinks this too. :D
what man of GOD you r .
Yes its got to stop and we are only ones that can do it.
Women Against VAWA Excess – WAVE – is dedicated to exposing how the Violence Against Women Act has veered away from its original intended purpose to stop domestic violence. Now, VAWA has come to embrace a radical ideology that marginalizes true victims, harms families, and betrays the ideals of equality feminism.
WAVE invites persons to visit its website, which features articles by Wendy McElroy, Anna Rittgers, and others: http://womenagainstvawa.org/.

Phyllis Rutkowski We need more women to come forward, to many take this abuse and keep quiet for reason of care support and most of all FEAR no one should live in fear it needs to stop..
Communities need to make this information more aware. I've known many women go through abuse however none of them chose help through the women and Children's shelter. Fear is a huge problem. They need a sense of security and protection. I didn't even know this shelter was available for women until just a few years ago. And I've been here my whole life! How are these women suppose to seek help, when they don't know where to go?
Well I can tell you I have experienced an abuse situation (with a friend) and they never told her where she could go. She even told them that she had no where to go. It should be mandatory in any domestic situation
I am gald to be a part of the solution! Thanks for the info.
I pray tha all who have suffered violence or have known someone who has suffered viiolence in their lives will sign this petition!
We really shouldn't need this. It should be automatic in our thinking.
I lost my only sister on mothers day in 2007 because of domestic violence there was no justice for her or my family charges got dismissed please stand up women children need to be safe and protected.
RaeAnn... I am so sorry to hear that, that,s why we all must stand up for women and children and older people as well. U don't know how much and how hard i work for the safety of women and chlidren..
Sad this goes on so much even in smal communities but it is accepted!
So sad but true, we need to stand on the law to move forward.
this is supreme bullshit. its unimaginable as to where politicians have a say in on this issue. I bet most of them are abusing women too. put an end to this VAWA was implimented for a reason i say loosing this would be backwards! its happening all over the world USA isnt far from being a 3 rd world country in its laws.
