I always wonder about statistics, like the drink drive thing, if say %30 of accidents involve a drunk person (the drunk person may not have been a driver) does this suggest drunk drivers have less accidents, and we are safer to drive drunk? I once worked with teenagers that stole cars, showed them videos of what could happen, took them banger racing, where they see the damage that is caused at low speeds, and I think, most of them came away with a greater respect for the danger of driving. I beleive this should be done in schools?

Driving takes a lot of responsability. I think that when we go in car to a same place, the same route everyday, we don't care or doesn't seem what is happening because it becomes a rutine for use, as a result, we become less attentive to potential dangers around us, it can be a cause of why we see so many car accidents eveeryday, we have to fight to be aware of this kind of actions.

I ALWAY MAKE SURE THE CAR SEAT IS IN THE MIDDLE. I DOn't CARE HOW OLD SHE GETS IT WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE. AND I HATE WHEN I SEE KIDS NOT EVEN IN A SEATBELT IVE EVEN TOLD THEM OR YOU CAN SAY YELLED AT THEM THEY NEED TO IN A SEAT BELT. I DOn't GET IT IF YOU LOVE YOU BABYS AND WHY WOULDn't YOU MAKE SURE THEY WOULD BE SAFE IN THE CAR? AND HOW CAN YOU EVEN DRIVE KNOWING THEY ARE JUMPING AROUNG? I DOn't GET IT.

this is off topic ( some)but in the past 5 years at the same corner I have nearly been hit by a car in daylight non rush hour times--ALL of these drivers were on a cell phone trying to make a left hand turn.... 3 waved as if to say they were sorry. Fat lot of good that ould do me if they had HIT ME. POINT: You can strap the kids in all you want, but you still don't want to be texting or on a cellphone--especially if your used to the road and on auto-piolet. That's the WORST time to be on a phone or otherwise distracted--while driving.

But there can be good things from bad-never wanted but always prepared. One teen age head injury death, if agreed to by parents, can save several lives with organs, restore sight to two blind people, help a burn victim go home with a future, provide the bone to reconstruct several severe bone injuries, and I don't know what else. Please, sign up for the donor list on line, carry your card and know, if anything happens, you will bring faith, hope & joy to many.

The first thing to do as you get into the car is to Fasten the Seat Belts...make it a habit...You don't know when a mishap will occur.

teach your child that a back seat in a vehicle always requires a belt around the body as you do when you teach him' must ' is always followed by an infinitive without to. After all, a safety belt is not that rope around the neck..I will always teach my children so.
