True, the Vets probably do need medication, but from what I have and heard, they just give them the meds to keep as I say it "Zombied out" in other words keep them in a zoned out space. Some of the meds could actually being more harm than good. I think these dogs would show love and affection and that is what I believe the Vets need the most. Like they say, these Vets are suffering in silence and it would also keep from putting down so many animals. I know this idea would help these...

At least they would have a faithful companion to be there for them.

too bad you have to sign petitions to get someone to do the right things. is there any wonder what's wrong with the world. does someone always have to make a dime for good things to happen? those are the people we need to make an example out of.

Being someone also with PTSD and a degree in psychology with a dog and going to therapy and on medication myself sometimes you need all the above to be able to cope with the trauma that has occurred in your life. There is nothing to be ashamed of and if it is helping you that s the point.

I realize now, after our scruffy, Terrier mix and 12 years with him relating to our family, what terrific affection and loyalty flowed from this rascal of a dog. I'm a peace time vet, never fired a hostile shot. Just guarded the mud and hard working people of South Korea. There are many books on how to train and enjoy dogs. for they are very smart....the terriers are very alert and they tune in to the humans they live with.---Vern Chindlund, Glen Ellyn, IL.
