I am struggling with the VA right now with my PTSD Service Dog...they are waiting on a 'ruling' that does not reflect the current Title 38 Section 1714, Public Law 2009. Hopefully they will get their act together soon!
God bless and let's hope they do!! It is LONG OVERDUE!!! Thank you so much for your service and sacrifice. I am the mother of a son who committed suicide because of PTSD. He served in Iraq in 2003/2004. I pray you will do everything you can to take care of yourself!
Wendy Griffioen GOD BLESS YOU
I saw you on WWP Im in Dallas..
What is the ruling for ?
Ramon J. Montoya I replied with an answer...but it looks like they deleted it. Guess we are to just sign the petition and not inform people about whats really going on. I'll post on my WWP Discussion: PTSD Service Dog what I originally had here.
This is an awesome petetion lets let the politicians know that we need this. Its a viable way to save lives.
Will get on it!!!!
I sure would love that last puppy!!! :)
Ya think? I've always stuck by my theory...that a spiritual and/or a trustworthy connection, is far better than anything clinical.
Exactly Joseph, what a great idea. Thank you for informing me.
My niece ( Dawn ).....told me about it...thx for getting involved Angela....hopin' all is well with you...:)
I feel this is a good idea to help the veterans. Use the animals from the shelters, dogs and cats. Pets can make a world of difference in a person's life.
I agree !!!
PTSD is a very complex and layered affliction resulting from exposure to horrific experiences. Even the dogs serving in combat are coming back with it or have to be sent home with this condition after or during a tour. The vets need and deserve the best help they can get , so do their families and their communities.
It is our human duty to help and love our sisters and brothers...espc. those that have been broken...either in spirit or in body...Let's do all each one of us can....Love & Light!
Thank you for sharing
my son is loviing his new puppy & yes 13 mths. in combat at the age of 19 , how do you come back ok?
al thanks for sending me this link.
Outstanding! A dog is the only creation on earth who will love you unconditionally...always!
This is so the truth!!!
I think , horses are another animal that is a stress reliever.
this is a win-win situation... so many soldiers, veterans returning with PTSD, depression, anxiety and a host of other mental health issues. Over 4 million animal shelters euthanized yearly.... let's partner them up, it's a WIN-WIN situation.....
Artie, thank you, that's very inspiring... I believe everyone knows someone directly or indirectly who has been affected by this drawn-out conflict... and dogs love you unconditionally... As Billy McIntosh said, dog spelled backwards is GOD ....
