It is so sad to see the way this country, this once proud nation has become. We are now no more than a haven for every foreign parasite to come and stick their hand out and be given everything by this and the last week and pathetic government. Its sickening and not a wonder why so many are leaving this country for good..and if I had the money so would I. The worse of it all is the way we treat our armed forces who daily risk their lives for us. Its about time we all stood up and said enough is enough.
i was a serving member of the army for 22 plus years, instead of crying about how my country deserted me in my hour of need i got off my but and left. what is sickening David is people like you who want to run everything down but dont take any action to make things better for yourself. "if i had the money" how pathetic.
when you leave the forces after years of loyal service you are tossed into civvy street with no help or support. Some obviously fall by the wayside and are forgoten and its a disgrace to hear that so many end up on the streets when so many illegal imigrants can come to this country and live like kings,, our government are a disgrace!
Ronnie Cameron absolutely. When my husband came out of the RAF we were in London. We went to get on the housing list and were told that every asylum seeker would be put on the list in front of us. My husband would have died for his country if it had been asked of him and that's the thanks you get. THIS COUNTRY IS A BLOODY DISGRACE.........
I see many homeless in my profession as Paramedic and I am struck by how many of them (alot of them alcoholics) are ex services who either have had real bad luck or just could not adjust to being a civilian. If you are imprisoned there is some structure set up for the institutionalisation from being in the one environment and its time that this was recognised in ex services (there but for the grace of god go I ) and so this is why I support this cause.
I was homeless for just less than two weeks once and I met many people all with different stories about their lives. I was shocked at the number of soldiers who were traumatized and
should have been looked after.
Maybe if the Government stop sending money to countries who hate us and gave it to our vets they would be better looked after and would not have to rely on Charity....it's a disgrace.....charity begins at home! End of Rant!
they deserve all the help they get maybe if the government cared about these lads they wouldn't be on the streets.
There really is no need for these people to be on the streets, there are plenty of empty barrack blocks and married quarters on military stations that have been mothballed, why doesn't the MOD offer shelter in these facilities, go one step further and open up the messes so they can have 3 hot meals a day as well.
cut backs, govement only want soldiers while they can do their job, after that they can go in the bin like old equipment........ sick but seems true !
I will support and continue supporting until the every Soldier is safe!
As an ex-serviceman I am aware of the trauma of de-mob, with no support from the MOD and what seems left to abandonment.
We always look after our own, whether on the battlefield or at home, these are our brothers and sisters and we must help them in any way we can.
charity begins at home lets think of our own.
