I'm going to put scripture on this cause you tax collectors, tax raisers, & other corrupt government officials aren't trying to hearing what the people that you are taxing to poverty have to say about this. Job 27:17 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;.
17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
18 He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper make.
19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place. James 1:9 The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. 10 But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business. 12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 5:1 Go to now, yes rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Yes have heaped treasure together for the last days. 4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. 5 Yes have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; yes have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 Yes have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. Luke 18:22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! 25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” God's Comfort in Tribulation / 2Corinthians 1-7.

3Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;.

4Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God.

5For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds by Christ.

6And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

7And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation. this to you all that are suffering doing the time of tribulations. may you be comfort & blessed <3.

It's not the taxing to poverty, it's pouring the INTEREST into the treasuries of the Rich and powerful. Mt. 5 says it best: Blessed are the poor, for the Kingdom shall be theirs. When Jesus had a meal with a corrupt tax collector, he changed his way and returned all his evilly obtained earnings to the ones he had demanded TOO MUCH INTEREST from. Our Bankers who want to double the interest have obviously not made the Christ connection. So sad. Let's not forget to PRAY in the Power of the...

We need FREEDOM not bondage to educational debt.

Just another facet of their grand design to keep the profit margin up and the brain cells down...As long as you are struggling and you succumb to that struggle then you are rendered ineffective to the grand cause...

To top it all off...false advertisement runs rampant in America and no one is watching what the Heavy Hitters are doing...why not? If you are a corporation and you have a name and an attorney ...hell ! You can go stir up a pile of worms! Until the system is faceted for maximum delivery of information and knowledge which = truth and justice in our world than these parasites will leach off of your inability to act on your own thoughts and emotions. Truth.

this is a horrific racket! I paid every penny back and followed every rule they gave and with a signed document in place and a guarantee of an interest rate lock they still tripled it on me!! Would not have been able to go with out the money no doubt but it is a racket that burns a lot of people! They said and I quote, "Sue us we have more money than you!"

We also need to change the law regarding the discharge of student loans for people who have gone bankrupt (making these laws retroactive). Loan forgiveness is biblical and necessary to maintain strong nations, individuals and economies (Read both OT and NT). Clearly, Jesus forgives and requires us to do the same!

The college took me as a student even though my grades I had for my BS was at 2.51 a bit lower than they would normally accept. They had me get student loans etc. they charged out of state rates <even though I was not taking up classroom space or housing that an instate student would need which was the justification for higher rates for out of state students back when I was in college for my BS. I graduated from the School with about a 3.5 average I believe.
I could barely survive on my pay for a cna of less than 15k a year an amount that was known I am sure by the college before they sold me on the schooling. I ended up relocating to Florida where despite the need for CNA's I could still not get a full time job at a wage that would allow me to pay for living expenses let alone pay off the debt. I had it due be turned over if I didn't the deferment paperwork in by a Sunday I faxed it to them on a Friday evening and they still didn't defer it because they didn't get it in time.
I was out of work and had a prepaid cell phone which charged for incoming as well as outgoing calls and they would ring up harassing me about it demanding how come I had a cell phone if I had no money. I told them It was pre-paid and I was trying to use it to get work and they still kept calling me trying to get me to pay and wasting the credits I had so I stopped answering when I didn't recognize the number.
Basically I think the banks knew the housing market was going to crash and they started pushing unsafe studentloans instead.

In present times, this story is becoming a reality for many student wishing to plan for there future. The banks always know when the market is going to crash. The housing market was an unsustainable bubble waiting to bust caused by the tech boom earlier in the decade. All the wealth from that boom went into the housing market. Sir Issac Newton taught us a law of gravity, "what goes up must come down". Bankers over speculated, and boom the house of cards fell down.

My son just bought a new car and got a.9% car loan. What is wrong with a system that will give a break on interest for a car but will not help students trying to get an education!

This is absurd! I have women in my program that have in excess of $43,000 worth of student loan debts. And no degree. They will never get out of debt. The biggest "offenders" are the online private university that charge outrageous tuition and get the students to apply for student loans from the beginning, the majority of them have no concept as to the aftermath. They are trapped with the school because they have credits built up that WON'T transfer to accredited colleges, or they graduate...

They are trapped with the school because they have credits built up that WON'T transfer to accredited colleges, or they graduate with a WORTHLESS degree that limits then from pursuing a masters. In essence, they abuse people who want a degree and have to support themselves at 2-3 jobs, fully believing that education is the ticket to a better life...and it is...as long as you don't have thousands and thousands of debt you can't repay. I know personally that Kaplan University did this to one of my employees. She has $65,000 worth of debt with a degree that few will recognize. I am pleading with the lawmakers to stop these schools from taking advantage of students in order to substantially increase their profit margin. This is not only burdening the students, but also our economy. I also am requesting that a thorough investigation be made into the practices of the for profit universities immediately.

my husband just graduated from AIU (online) last year with his Associates Degree and is going on to get his Bachelor's in IT. I agree with you... their charges are OUTRAGEOUS!!! $24,000 for just his associates!!! Now another $24,000 for his Bachelor's!! :( With our family size/& with how busy we are, as well as how far we live from jobs (out in the country BIG TIME!! 1 hour away from the closest Wal-Mart!) it's too far to travel to the closest college. (Talk about pouring money into the gas tank!) And with the economy being as bad as it is, selling this big house just isn't an option. It feels like we're stuck. The worst part... My husband hasn't been able to get a job with his Assoc. degree. He's working 2 jobs right now that pay $9-$10/hr. We're tired of trying to make things right and everything going wrong. Not to mention having to take this road and being taken advantage of. Some families NEED the online option... just not the torture that comes with it.

Laura Daniel I feel your pain. I go to AIU on ground and that's precisely why I'm transferring to a traditional university. AIU's tuition is ridiculous for what you get and it just went up and the beginning of this quarter.

The cost of online school's should be limited to the same amount as non-online colleges. The cost is absolutely out of site. You don't realize it until your neck deep in student loans.
