We are proud of Indian Army who is sacrificing their life for the protection of our country. Every IAS, IPS officers, MPs, MLAs, & Ministers shoild be in army for 1 or 2 years to develop love toward country at any cost.
Why only 1 or 2 years? I suggest they must serve in the Army for at least for 5 years.

Compulsory drafting of all able bodied citizens into armed forces is a necessity, in vogue in most advanced countries of world. This need is of paramount importance for those who hold very high positions in public services warrenting deeper interaction, integration and exercising authority over the armed forces who uphold the constitution. This should be essential for the president who is the supreme cmmander and constitutional head. Even when this may be debating , we have a longway to go before it become mandatory prerequisite. Taking example of America all their presidential condidates, both Bush sr, Bush jr and Obama have met this requirement and a large number of their presidents were even retired generals. But than that is the oldest democracy of nearly 300 yrs, still in evolution, having passed through extreme turbulencies on the way. We have yet to pay all the price of freedom and its obligations, which armed forces are dutifully keeping up all along even in war on terrorism !

Terrorism is a cancer for the society and need to be completely eradicated. It is our duty to support the Indian Army who is engaged in this task.
Terrorism emanates from bad governance, external forces when they attack cannot be termed as terrorism, but war upon a country and must be dealt with with the same response, internal terrorism can be dealt with only by development and equitable distribution of national wealth, the powers that be cannot impoverish any section of the population,in such a scenario armed response can be totally counter-productive and give a fillip to popular movements seeking a just order, the definition of terrorism changes on the opposite sides of a table
