if we spent a fraction of the money on education that we spend on keeping youths locked up this world would be a far better place in my oppinion.

I agree In California the prison system Y.A are packed . Why should our children have to grow up and get educated in prisons instead of thier hometown school.

i just think if we spent more money educating our youth they would have a better chance at doing more in life and society would spend less in the long run

Be a role model, putting work ethic as the priority and commitments before pleasure as YOUR life goal. Help them pursue a profession that they will love.

This is how I was raised. School duty is a commitment and a job. Homework before play. If you need a break, you have to do something useful first and play is an award, not a right.

I know it sounds like a Chinese, not a Polish mother, but the point is to teach them to take pleasure from the work they do and be proud about it. Maybe I expressed myself wrong, but to my best knowledge, you are no different, dear workaholic cousin. :-)

The end justifies the means? Not the rule I live by and that's the whole point of teaching ETHICAL behaviors. I also have multiple Facebook accounts, but it would not occur to me to use them. Small cheats become big cheats later in life. Recruit your friends instead!

I enjoy teaching Junior Achievement to second grade students and always encourage them to stay in school and follow their dreams. Their excitement and enthusiasm is more than enough reward for my efforts.

Our Education System needs to be overhauled to keep our students interested in their studies.
