Complete lack of priorities. The. Debt should be the only topic on the floor until it is adequately addressed.

they should start with the debt by refusing all people in this country that are not citizens all social freebies, cut out all the millions of dollars sent to foreiegn contries that hate the usa. Not keep on destroying the people born and raised in this country

And stop sticking our noses in every other country's business. If they can't get along, let them take care of themselves. I am sick and tired of every country that has a civil war of their own coming to the US for help. And the government is so stupid it can't say no.

They talk about entitlements and us hard working retirees not entitled to them. I think our government gets way to many entitlements. Take theirs away. What we spend would be a lot less.

PART TIMERS ARE SUPPOSED TO LOSE THE BENEFITS RIGHT?

Are you kidding, lose benefits, I never had a part time job that had benefits. Employers make sure to hire all part timers so they don't have to give benefits. They are just as bad as the government.

With what we the taxpayers pay these people plus their lavish retirement and health benefits they should be working non-stop. Only working 49% of the time is part-time work and in the private sector people who work part-time get no health insurance, retirement or any other benefits. We could save a ton of money if we got rid of all their benefits. That would be a start as far as cutting entitlements. Lets start with Congresses entitlements.

The sqeeky wheel gets the grease. If you don't bitch, they'll think everything is kool, and won't bother working it out.

The issue here is power and the money that follows that power. The Congress protects their wallets while putting ours in jeopardy. The extremes are the problem and this requires a clear statement from the electorate that responsible, moderate and effective leadership is the only thing that we will accept. We must require each representative to prove themselves in term of each of these factors or be voted out. The important positions cannot be Left or Right but the Middle Road of politics...

I support 120% No Deal, No Break. Yes, David Walker is right, the President and I add, Congress too, need to stop campaigning. All they have done is getting themselves elected and re-elected. They need to start working for us, governing, fixing problems, making America healthy in very way.

We all need to tell the politicians that they cannot take a break, no vacation until they fix the most pressing problems this country facing. Will your boss let you take a vacation if there are most...

We all need to tell the politicians that they cannot take a break, no vacation until they fix the most pressing problems this country facing. Will your boss let you take a vacation if there are most pressing things in front of you at work that would be disasters in the near future? Of course not. if you insist on taking the vacation, you may come back and find that you are out of job! So, why should Congress be able to take their breaks. They need to work hard for our hard earned money that we pay them. By the way, they get pay well and their pay is protected. They will not get a pay cut. They make sure of that!

I listened to the interview below, then wrote this comment. Our country, America has many serious problems. They are like cancer that the government has not tried to cure,..just treat the symptoms, but the cancer is still there, not treated. Kicking the can down all the time.

They should not have pay until they start doing their jobs. Also the amount of money, retirement and health coverage should be like everyone elses. Maybe they would grow a heart and understand how most Americans feel
