This whole thing about adopting children from other countries disturbs me greatly. Aren't there enough here to take care of? Why not adopt American and take care of our own before taking on the rest of the world. Sounds selfish to some Americans/Foreigners I realize, but I'm not in the business about caring in that respect.
With all the resources we have there shouldn't be any homeless children here in America. I'm all for helping the needy in other countries but we need to take care of our own first.. Just saying!
Pathetic isn't it that the answer is 1 in 50 when so many of the 0.1% live in such opulence..:(
just because a kid is homeless doesn't mean they don't have a loving family, I agree we should take care of americas orphaned children but we also need to have better training and resource for the kids that belong to a loving homeless family.... homelessness doesn't equal unloved orphan!
Very sad & no child deserves to be hungry or homeless & hope we change this very sad statistic!
Agreed 100%, unfortunately we need to take care of "our own" first and foremost..
One world, if only...
We have homeless children in our local school system. This is outrageous! Our politicians need to stand up and take notice. This is America - no one should be homeless or hungry.
The mothers and fathers that have addiction I don't feel sorry for them but their children I sorry about because they are our future citizens. The people who are laid off or can't get a job I feel sorry for, but I also feel sorry for our elderly that have to choose between food or the medicines and medical care that they need.
Our country is too worried about taking care of everyone but the people who live in the U.S. People adopt children from other countries because it is easier to do so. The biggest problem I believe is that all the people that hold offices have never had to budget or penny pinch.
