Many a nights I went down to the beach and never had any encounters except with a seal! You should be able to go to the beach at night if you want.

What kind society do we live in now that I cannot even walk around my neighborhood after a certain hour? I live two block away from the beach. That means if I want go for a walk after a certain hour I am forced to walk east. What about those people that live on Ocean Front Walk? They cannot walk out of their homes cuz' they would get a ticket or be arrested for "accessing" the beach.

The top brass knows full well that there stand-off tactics will come into play and the guns will be used when not really needed and then the political pressures will be too much to bear. They are simply under funded to do the job in a safe way and they are afraid of it.
