This poll should have included [all of the above] as I have no particular favorites; each book is a worthy favorite with somebody, somewhere. I love each and every one of them!
It is a largely autobiographical novel about a young boy who goes from the poorhouse to apprenticeship and finally to live among a band of juvenile thieves. This had a great impact on transforming child protection in relation to Mary Ellen Wilson and her plight with child abuse and neglect...
The mystery of Edwin Drood, even though he never finished it.
With me, there is a tie between Oliver Twist and Great Expectations. My favorites.
actually all of the above list.
I answered A Tale of Two Cities.
My favourite, Bleak House, was not on the list. You should have said "Which of these 5 books is your favourite". Not much of a poll.
A Christmas Carol, even though I don't celebrate Christmas! It's a great fable about having a generous spirit.
My fault my crazy mouse moved over A Christmas Carol and selected it when in fact Great Expectations is y favorite.
