I am a stage IIIc ovarian cancer survivor for 13 hrs. I have recently dramatically changed my eating habits. I feel better and have dropped 70 lbs. I know I have lessened my chances of getting cancer again.

Congratulations on 13 years and I'm glad you feel better... My mom was just diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer May 2011 and she went though Chemotherapy and lost over 100 pounds during the process. Currently she is cancer-free and I'm very thankful..

I want my grandson to overcome this horrid condition as well as all the others that are too young to die such a horrible and painful death.

Lunch syndrome, colectomy, total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Very invasive, don't want to go through that again.

Of course healthy people get cancer too, but why increase your chances of getting it?

I am a familycare practitioner in rural area of ap india since forty years. In my path of experience I can say cancer cases are coming down due to awareness and detection in early stage.
