I am a stage IIIc ovarian cancer survivor for 13 hrs. I have recently dramatically changed my eating habits. I feel better and have dropped 70 lbs. I know I have lessened my chances of getting cancer again.

Congratulations on 13 years and I'm glad you feel better... My mom was just diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer May 2011 and she went though Chemotherapy and lost over 100 pounds during the process. Currently she is cancer-free and I'm very thankful..

Many of my families have died of different types of cancers like breast, intestinal, pancreatic, liver, rectal, stomach and ovarian. I would like to join hand in hand to try to prevent and help those horrible deaths.

I don't have cancer but just a few days ago I've just lost a good friend, who lost her fight with brast cancer. I am a keen campaigner and would like to see a cure for this disease. With research I know in time a cure will be found.

Congratulation Linda, you touched on a very significant point; 'eating habits' and lifestyle in general. I am a community health educator and over the course of my career in research, evidences have shown and proven that these changes do prevent risk factors and enhanced lifestyle of suferers. It has been proven that plant-based foods high in phytochemical and antioxidants fight the free radicals that feed cancer cells. Good Health to you.

We need to know everything we can about cancer prevention!, change lifestyles.. and eat better, more veggies, more fish, more fruits, and.. less milk... in Japan people do not drink that much cow milk as we do, and the stadistics about cancer are much lower there. Some cases of cancer are even cure just by stop drinking milk every day. Lets be smart and not be simple consumers manipulated by the food industry...
