I come from a long line of Veterans, two consecutives times with Revolutationary War, Civil War, WW I, WW II, Korean Conflict, Vietnam. A large percentage of our Veterans were drafted as teenager's, they gave their all and a great number were injured physically or left with scaring memories that haunted them for the rest of their lives. A great many lost their lives and never had a chance to work and have a family, their parents and families lost them forever. The freedom they gave...

A great many lost their lives and never had a chance to work and have a family, their parents and families lost them forever. The freedom they gave everyone should be more appreciated, stop and think without their sacrifice we wouldn't have our freedom, we possibly woundn't even be here. Healthcare is a story by itself, not only are the Vetern's affected by Agent Orange ETC., but wives and children even grandchildren and so on. My answer to the question is YES, because we can never do enough to pay back our VETS.

They should also receive special consideration when it comes to healthcare as well.

Actually with health care we do... if we don't have health insurance and were either discharged with an honorable discharge then we can receive low cost or free heath care from the VA depending on our income situation

I am a vet, I work at the Manchester VA hospital and I use my Blue cross blue sheild as needed , as I have never fild for a disability. I have never been involved with more caring individuals in my life. The staff at this are top notch.

They sacrificed for their country so bravely and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Yes they are our top proiority and should have enemployment, health care for them and their families and a home to live in without fear of losing it and ending up living on the street.

vetarns should be given the jobs over everyone else they are willing to work unlike the lazy sods that applie for the jobs not realy wanting to work as they get more from benifits, vets should also get on the housing list above the single mothers etc they just get pregnant to get a house away from their parents, and no imagrant should get a job in front of a veteran.

I believe they should. Who else hands over their life like a blank check and says "Here, I give this to you. Let it pay for any cost that this country may incur. Whether it be freedom, liberty or the lives of the weak." Then, when it is all said and done, takes that check back with no conditions, interest or debt. Whether it be freedom, liberty or the lives of the weak." Then, when it is all said and done, takes that check back with no conditions, interest or debt. We as veterans return and melt back into civilian life and only want to have the same as the rest of the country wants...Life, Liberty and the chance to pursue happiness. It is the dues and the forward paid work that qualifies them to stand out in the line up of potential employees. Besides, you get a much more disciplined, trained and eager employee in most cases than the rest of the candidate pool. If you have two candidates to pick from, both of equal and comparable resumes, I would suggest hiring the veteran.

because veterans are courageous and valourous men, they were ready and proud to give their life to save our life, to prevent a foreigh land from the invaders, we have to give them back care, to be grateful to them; full of admiration and respect.
