I come from a long line of Veterans, two consecutives times with Revolutationary War, Civil War, WW I, WW II, Korean Conflict, Vietnam. A large percentage of our Veterans were drafted as teenager's, they gave their all and a great number were injured physically or left with scaring memories that haunted them for the rest of their lives. A great many lost their lives and never had a chance to work and have a family, their parents and families lost them forever. The freedom they gave...

A great many lost their lives and never had a chance to work and have a family, their parents and families lost them forever. The freedom they gave everyone should be more appreciated, stop and think without their sacrifice we wouldn't have our freedom, we possibly woundn't even be here. Healthcare is a story by itself, not only are the Vetern's affected by Agent Orange ETC., but wives and children even grandchildren and so on. My answer to the question is YES, because we can never do enough to pay back our VETS.

They should also receive special consideration when it comes to healthcare as well.

Actually with health care we do... if we don't have health insurance and were either discharged with an honorable discharge then we can receive low cost or free heath care from the VA depending on our income situation

I am a vet, I work at the Manchester VA hospital and I use my Blue cross blue sheild as needed , as I have never fild for a disability. I have never been involved with more caring individuals in my life. The staff at this are top notch.

I voted yes and I'm currently unemployed. Freedom isn't free and I am grateful to all veterans for their service.

They have put their lives at risk for the sake of us all, and no one can do that sort of work forever. When they return home, without a job, a job would be therapy to allow them to move on, so yes they should receive special consideration.

I think we should automatically look after our veterans, they have already done enough for their Country and it's people. Funds should be readily available for rehabilitation, holidays, accommodation, Family life etc. I think any support they need regardless of cost should be available to them.

They have learned to live very structured lives in the military, and are not slackers. We as Americans owe them so much. I agree they should have jobs before the many illegals. They should also have first class health care for the rest of their lives.

YES! They gave their family life, job security and everything to our country so now THIS COUNTRY should " PAY IT FORWARD ". to the ones who gave all.

As Long as the veteran is qualified for the position yes they should get preference but should be held to the normal standards, however if they screw up there should be some type of reporting system cause lets face it there are veterans that are slackers too. they should not keep getting chances if they mess up over and over.

They have given their all and it is up to us to give back in any way we can. You bet Veterans should be given priority in the job market when they come home. I'm tired of illegal immigrants taking all of the jobs that Americans supposedly "won't do". It is the biggest lie perpetrated in this country. I live in an agricultural area and the orchard owners know full well that they are employing illegals with fake names, ID's and Social Security numbers and they do it anyway. Every candidate,...

Every candidate, including the President has promised that these owners would be prosecuted, but I have yet to see it. Americans will do any job that illegals will do. I bet I've scrubbed more toilets and swept more parking lots for a living than any illegal on welfare ever thought of doing. We need E-Verify and WE NEED TO USE IT! Thank you to all of our Military for their sacrifices. We owe you more than we can ever!
