"Last year, over 150 million cell phones were discarded without being recycled. That's enough phones to stretch from New York to Sydney, Australia - a distance of over 9,000 miles!
Recycle your phone!"

It's -almost- a shame that technology is advancing so rapidly that we end up with so many new yet obsolete devices. Recycling would be great, but I'd also be interested in having cell phone companies make modular cell phones where only the mainboard is replaced. Less waste, less cost.

Is it possible by the manufacturing firms to take the old cell phone back and give a newer version after paying extra price? Can they re use the older electronic circuits by some amendments or reusing the respective electronic components? Is it possible or a worthless idea? Please comment! Hasan Imam Siddiqui.
