P.S. It is in a Pitbull type breed's DNA to attack, kill etc.? That is what they were bred to do? Seriously? It is in MY DNA to be a drug-dealer and a prositute, I should have done time in a maximum security prison as well but thankfully for me I was put up for adoption at 5 weeks of age in 1965. I was raised by two beautiful people who desperately wanted children and who showered me with love and affection. Nobody is a truer testament to being a product of their environment than me! You're just clueless!!!

Responsibility starts with ownership of a dog, it sounds to me that she failed to look after her grandson properly and whats to blame the dog, after all a dog is a reflection of you!

AGAIN, don't allow idiots to take responsability when they buy a family pet. What is Miranda on about. I can't see anywhere how she intends to do things. Sounds like a nut job .

Miranda i am sure you are a smart person but this is a bloody stupid idea. All dogs can bite, especially if it has not been treated right, integrated into family life, not treated right, including being tethered to a tree , antagonised or due to stupid owners training them to be aggressive for their own reasons. My friend was bitten by a maltese terrier so is all that breed now dangerous. It is a terrible tradgey that child lost their life but is your proposal really an answer it is a knee jerk reaction to a devastating situation.

Miranda, u need to shut up and leave the pittbulls and their owners alone!!! Go after the real killers like the baby rapers and the child abusers, the one's who committ ederly abuse. Not the animals!!! You make me sick Miranda!!!!

Dogs are living breathing beings who belong only to people who understands this and are happy to share their lives with the dogs as a member of the family. If you want security, then you install alarm systems. If you want someone to abuse, try your local law enforcement department. But dogs are not products or beings for anyone to abuse or kill!

A dog is a companion for life, not an item to dispose of at a whim. This encourages people to give and take as they freely want...would they do this to their children. Respect life, respect your pet and keep them for the duration of their lives regardless...
