SKAMANIA COUNTY PROSECUTOR CLARIFIES CHARGING DECISION IN EXPLOSIVES CASE

August 5, 2013—The Skamania County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office today charged Christopher Wayne Dillingham with Possession of Bomb or Explosive Device with Intent to Use for an Unlawful Purpose, a Class A felony carrying up to 20 years in prison. Dillingham was also charged with two counts of Reckless Endangerment, carrying up to 364 days in jail each. At the request of the prosecutor, bail was set at $500,000.

At this time, the prosecutor is still reviewing the circumstances surrounding the charged incident in order to determine whether animal cruelty charges are also warranted. “We are reviewing the animal cruelty statutes and case law, and if the l

I agree with Joy. I would say blow him up but not enough to die. Just enough to suffer without medical treatment so he has a chance to reflect and think about what he's done. .

I hope he follows through with the animal cruelty charges. They should be at the top of the list. Thanks, Julie Ann, for sharing the response from the DA.

2 weeks ago my beloved Black Lab had to be put to sleep, I would do anything to have her back. This scum has no respect for life, I pray he will be brought to justice. Our country needs stiffer laws for animal abuse, this man should be set as an example. If he can blow up a dog-is a child next?

He is emotionally unstable, a religious fanatic, and he has killed an animal! People who live near him should be demanding he be put away. He is the definition of a danger to society. What happens if he thinks the devil is in a neighborhood child or a neighbor? It's ridiculous that they haven't prosecuted. I hope they have some deep pockets because there will be some big lawsuits! when he kills again.

A system that protects animal abusers is unconscionable, irresponsible and shows complete disregard for the lives of animals who are here because of the very system's policies in the first place. If you permit people to breed and sell animals then you must have an equal responsibility to protect these animals from humans who continue to abuse and kill them. Every case of animal abuse must be taken seriously and abusers exposed to protect animals in the future the same way you protect...

Accountability, responsibility and ethics applies to animal welfare in every decent society.

In the beginning God, gave charge for man, to care after all the beast on earth, NOT TO DESTROY THEM! It came from a higher Being to make man and woman to care for His creation, and not to abuse!

A man in Florida recently got 14 years in prison for beating his dog to death. If thery do this to a helpless critter, they will do it to a human. The punishment should fit the crime and they should be separated from other humans appropriately because they are not quite human - no mercy, no compassion, no right thinking.
