I live in Spain and despair when the season comes. People are changing and many brave souls dedicate their lives to animals but the change too slow...animal cruelty in this country is deep in their makeup.:They call it tradition I call it ignorance and insensitivity.

That is what I call it too...ignorance and insensitivity. Monsters.

In Minoan Creta, there was a kind of fight between man and bull, named in ancient Greek,ταυροκαθαψια. One can see this in many vases, pottery and frescos of this period, in the palaces of Knossos, Phaistos and in many museums of the world. The strict rule of the game was that it was prohibited to kill the bull. You had to win using your natural strength and skill. I wonder whether the brave Spanish matadors (killers) would accept to play under this condition.

I don't want this in our country. I heard on the news that even the run from the bulls like Spain has each year will be in our land for the first time. I'd like to stop that as well.

Amando, you live like bulls do then die a painful death, see how you like it, if bulls care majestic animals why do you want to kill them, , its inhumane and cruel

Armando, would you like to live in luxury for 4 years then die a cruel, painful and humiliating death in front of a crowd urging for more of your blood? They re better not living at all than being tortured after a short life life of being pampered. Such a medieval mindset.

Banning bullfights will mean the extinction of this majestic animal. First, the hypocrisy: if you signed the petition you better never eat beef, otherwise ban the slaughter of all cattle. Second, the lack of knowledge: fighting bulls are a specific breed that live a life of luxury for 4 years, with the best food and medical care an animal can receive. They live in an open range environment without predators. Of course this costs money. Who is willing to substitute the cost to the breeder to...

They live in an open range environment without predators. Of course this costs money. Who is willing to substitute the cost to the breeder to allow the same life for these brave bulls without the bullfight, the sale of the bulls is the breeders' compensation for raising them. Thirdly, economics: the bullfight is a multibillion Euro business, employing hundreds of thousands of people. Lastly, emotions vs art: if you hate bullfights don't go, don't watch on tv or the Internet. But who are you to demand the end of an artistic, cultural tradition. Aficionados appreciate the beauty of this fine specimen of an animal, which does NOT need defend

This "blood-sport" is barbaric, vulgar and inhumane. Appalling, the sacrifice made of these creatures for sheer sociopathic "human" entertainment. Your argument Armando - is NO argument.
