RSPCA espèce de barbares!

We rescued a dog from the RSPCA recently who had separation BECAUSE the RSPCA killed the other dog with whom he was captured. This dog is fearful of men but loves us and children. I think the RSPCA need to change focus from turnover and pound capacity management to actually doing the best thing for all the animals... at least keeping them alive would be a start.

My 91 year old mother is blind and quite deaf. She gets nervous and upset when she is alone. Tell me......should I have her put down?!

The SPCA in maple Ridge, B.C. also murdered my dog, without letting me say goodbye, as I pleaded for his life. The SPCA in maple Ridge, B.C. also murdered my dog, without letting me say goodbye, as I pleaded for his life. He was a wonderful, gently dog, and very much a border collie at heart, and one day when a child went shooting by on a skateboard, he nipped him. I don`t think he meant to hurt or scare the child, but his herding instinct kicked in. The child was NOT injured. The parents threatened to sue, and called the SPCA. We had to rehome Bobbi, or come up with liability insurance. We found a new home on an apple farm in Mission. He was great with the owners son, who had developmental problems. They reported that Bobbi always stayed close to him, and would not let him wander off the property. Bobbi did run away on more than one occasion. We offered to pick him up from the Spca as the new owners could not afford to pay the fine again. The SPCA said, as he had bitten, he could not be released again, and needed to be euthanized. Even though the staff said he was sweet, friendly.

It seems as though the employees of this animal shelter needs to have remedial training for their respective job description.
