Since when is separation anxiety a problem that requires death to cure. I have helped dozens of dogs with separation anxiety, it just takes some time. This is disgusting!

Hearing yet another story of the apparent change in RSPCA policy makes my heart hurt. I grew up always believing that the RSPCA would always protect and care for all abandoned or abused animals, yet for the last few months I have heard many, many stories about healthy animals being killed by this organisation without giving the poor creatures a chance to find a home. What has happened or is happening to this once great organisation? Is there another PETA type person setting the policy? We all know exactly what that policy is - kill, at all costs, even if you have to lie to do it! It's time this organisation did some self searching and conducted a far reaching investigation into what is happening behind its closed doors, and why. More importantly, its time the RSPCA lived up to its name, Royal Society for the PROTECTION of animals. I believe the dictionary definition of protection is to help and prevent harm from happening. Not much prevention of harm happening in the RSPCA right now!

In 1992 the RSPCA Yagoona put down my dog "by mistake"! She was 2yrs old and healthy. I called on Friday afternoon and they said to come in on Monday morning to pick her up; over the weekend they would de worm her, give her shots ect. When I went in on Monday morning they had put her down about 15 mins before I arrived. They said "Sorry, we put her name on the wrong list". Murderers!! Something has to be done about this shelter, they are murderers, plain and simple!!

Iseult: I'm American, from the US. I live in Brooklyn, NY. New York City's Animal Care & Control are just like the RSPCA. They have a propensity for putting down healthy adoptable animals. The ASPCA, here in New York City, isn't like that. Euthanasia in the ASPCA is as a last resort. They make every effort to save the animal and place it for adoption, but euthanasia is almost always a last resort.

This is absolutely disgusting, you are supposed to care about animals, not destroy them for no reason. Not human and not humane!!!
