Why bother calling it a refuge if you are going to give people the right to kill innocent animals there? Haven't we done enough killing of animals that are an important part of our world? What will it take to help people see that this is not an action without consequence
Don't open it, must every wildlife be destroyed. Let the people who want to kille these animals do something uesful. Help animals or people, make the world a better place so Michael Jackson sang.
Yes! Find a useful way to live life that doesn't include cruelty and greed. Go and work in a Humane Society, or do something about the terrible treatment of animals in Slaughter Houses!
Protect the wolves, the spirit of America
Why the hell can't we enjoy nature - why must we kill or control every other creature???
This insanity needs to stop. Is this a way to keep serial killers under control. Let them kill animals instead of people. These poor animals don't deserve this. They are beautiful and are trying to survive in their habitat. This country is not so proud anymore, have the American people become that blood thirsty. Leave the wildlife alone. Come on America what happened to your PRIDE.
Thank you for this, Cindy! xxxxx
wolves are misunderstood and they need to be saved and open hunting season on all wolves everywhere is insane. There is no justification for the killing and as to why this is happening is just plain stupidity..today it is the wolves and what will it be tomorrow..they are wiping out complete packs and when the alpha's are killed the rest of the pack dies.
Not only misunderstood but treated with the respect we should give to all living wild creatures.
Tourism is down in Alaska because they are killing animals that people come from all over the world to view. It's like an old saying, "Biting your nose to spite your face.." I lived in Anchorage until 2010 and witnessed the slaughter of wolves first hand. We went from 1200 wolves (statewide ) in 2002 to 300 wolves in 2010. When I left in 2010, the Board of Game allowed the gassing of wolf pups and their mothers in their dens. Unfortunately this cruelty is spreading to the Lower 48 States.
I have no words strong enough to describe this travesty! Doesn't it seem strange, that an animal that evolved here, hundreds of years ago and lives in the company of all the other animals who also evolved here in a co-existant life, doesn't have the right to continue in this co-existant life? Did Mother Nature make a mistake? OH YES! As soon as MAN and GREED and CRUELTY comes into the picture, the balance of Nature is thrown out the window!
This goes beyond mere tourism, Toni, this is simply a matter of justice and decency toward our free friends in the wild!
If this is the only way to stop this murdering nonsense, we must start hunting down the poachers and the trappers. Let fear change camp. The bastards won't understand anything else!!!
I hate to say it, but I'm just about angry enough to want to hunt the hunters! After all, who was here first? And who is out there in the woods taking away the creatures who live there, and who I wish to continue living there?
The regulators are too busy collecting the money from hunting permits to care. We need to find ways for money to go to those (governmental) agencies that are supposed to protect the wolf so that the only money they get is not from hunters. (Perhaps camping taxes, etc.) Otherwise, these elected officials will just follow the money. Which means death to the wolves.
PROTECT WOLVES FROM THESE EVIL VICIOUS HUNTERS!!!!! PLEASE.
Where will human crazinesss top? First watch the animals and then kill them?!Honestly! These wolves need to be protected, they have a right to live a healthy happy life, and we are the guardians of the Earth. Let's stop abusing our power!
Yes! Crazy and insane!!!
