It's common sense isn't it. Vets would want to an we would want them to do so

There should never be a question as to whether pets should be re-united with their owners. Groups like PeTA would object to that since they've euthanized thousands upon thousands of innocent pets of which a great many would have been adopted. Watch out for organizations like PeTA who lie to vet clinics and shelters in order to take pets out of these facilities, then euthanized many of the pets in their van before ever leaving the parking lots. Don't donate to PeTA, save an animals life!

OMG....Why would PeTA euthanize pets? I thought they were for animal rights? Where did this come from? I hope this is not true. Vets should ALWAYS help to reunite lost pets with their owners. It is a win-win! Pets love their owners unconditionally, and owners should love their pets the same. REUNITE pets with their owners! What is the matter with this world?

Yes !! When I found 4 dogs on the 4 lane one day, it was my vet that called the SPCA for me & After I got them to the SPCA, it was the dogs vet that came to pick them & returned the dogs to their owner,

I THINK THE VET SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND THE ANIMALS OWNERS THEY SHELTERS SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO DO THIS AND IF THE VET CAN DO THIS IT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER ON THE SHELTERS

It would be a good idea if vets could help to reunite lost pets with their owners.

Shelters take in so many animals every day if a vet can help in getting pets and owners back together I think it would save innocent lives.

Or if their owner has mistreated the animal they should give it to the shelter and find a good home for the poor guy

I agree. Let vets reunite pets with their owners. It makes me sick to think that Bear and Kooda were put down. I don't think they look like pit bulls. They look like mixed breeds to me. They're what we call Heinz 57s.

Yes vets should be allowed to unite pets with their owners its the right thing to do and must be done.

I don't understand why this is even an issue. Surely, if it is possible to reunite pets with their humans, every conceivable avenue, including vets, should be used and explored to allow this to happen. What is the issue?

Sheila Schaefer

I agree - this shouldn't even be an issue. I would think Vets have an obligation to return lost pets to their forever homes. I had a cat stolen from me and taken to a city 60 miles away. It took him 4 months, but he made his way home. Some people just don't seem to understand the bond between humans and their beloved fur babies. Animals love too!
