I am a friend of "Prince the Therapy Goat" who hit national news a month ago. There are a few goats out there that can detect and help humans much more than a therapy dog can. If hers doctor says she can have it, let her be. Goats are quiet and sweet animals. Much better behaved than a cat or dog. I have about 80 dairy goats and they are much easier to deal with than my 3 farm dogs.
Good luck. Our pets are so precious to us, regardless what they are.
What about ADA???If they're both registered as service animals, maybe they can help her fight it???
Yes, that is what we are trying to do. We are going to fight the law and if all else fails, we will certify juju.
Take this girl's goats? I think not! We have house trained goats and I know of many others. Two Pygmy goats in a home is entirely resonable.
There are some counties in eastern wa and north idaho that allow minature luvestock in residential neighborhoods as long as neighbors do not complain - maybe use that with county officials - look up coeur d'alene idaho - as I know they allow it .... used to luve there and sell miniature dairy goats to people - good luck
I hope you get to keep you goats, Ava....they are certainly no bigger than most dogs, and smaller than some dogs, too! Are they claiming it's because of size or because they are considered "farm animals?" I would look into the details of what they are saying is law there. Is a small clutch of chickens forbidden, also? Good luck! I will keep you and your sweet goat friends in my prayers!
Both. Goats are considered "large domestic animals so I would need 2 acres
