this love story should be shown to the world. In these times of so much strife, this story of love is so needed by many.
What a great way to honor Shoep's memory, as to honor his Dad....In a throw away society where dogs become expendable....when they're no longer cute, and harder to care for. John set an example....for all dog owners to live up to. Love them....till their last breath. For that is how they will love you!
Very well said, Steve.
Love begins at home. And it is not how much we do, but how much love we put in that action! John Unger put all his love in giving himself to Schoep, his faithful and loving best friend. Something for all of us to learn.
John's devotion to Schoep : The Love Story of The Year
There can never be too much love in the World and John Unger and his wonderful late dog Schoep really show all the World the true meaning of friendship, dedication, loyalty, and most of all unconditional forever love.
He is certainly much more qualified for the honor of "Person of the Year" than any of the other "celebrity" types or whomever else they could bestow the title. He is merely a representative for those of us who also loved and lost a dear, dear friend.
This story is so profound in its meaning. It makes me feel, that mankind still has a chance at getting it right.
There is life outside partisan politics. I would love to see a cover that didn't involve politicians, movie stars, or big business.
John is the very definition of compassion, what a beautiful heart he has. RIP Schoep, we love you.
Entering Lake Superior cold water at anytime in the year is a feat of bravery in itself, to do so for such a beautiful reason is more than brave it is selfless love for another life. John and Schoep deserve to be on the cover of Time because this man and his dog show the world what life and love is about. No politics, no anger, no bias just love and compassion, this is what is missing in far to many people.
Very well said.
