PETA can be out of hand. Hawaii is my second home I support the old fishing and hunting traditions of the people. Go feed starving children!

We take particular offense with PETA's national press release which included the fisherman's home address. These sorts of ridiculous attacks on people's livelihoods and privacy cannot be tolerated. http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/22924689/peta-blasts-kauai-fisherman-who-nearly-died-while-catching-huge-ahi

Peta, you put your foot in your mouth on this one. Stay out of Hawaiian culture and pick on the stars wearing fur.

Please go listen to my cousin Keanu Sai. Each and every law they impose on us Kanakamaoli is considered a war crime. This means that the official who punished you can be investigated by the bigger world courts. There is no such thing as the state of Hawaii

I am samoan and enjoy fishing. Got into fishing bout 5 years ago and every chance i get to go out and cast my line i take advantage of it. My mother who was born and raised in samoa always told us a stories of how my grandfather would ask his kids what do you want for dinner from the ocean? (which was my grandparents backyard-the ocean)he would come back with his 12 childrens request for dinner. He never took more than what he needed, only for that evenings dinner. I was very overwhelmed of the lifestyle my mom and her siblings grew up in samoa. I have never been there, born and raised in hawaii and love the islands with all my heart. We only take what we need and if its small we do the right thing and throw it back into the ocean. PETA will never understand what and why our ROOTS with FISHING is very important to us POLYNESIANS. It is instilled in us and our culture. Much aloha to all who LOVE FISHING and I SUPPORT our fisherman and woman.
