No one should be food.

Do you think a pig wants to be food any more than a dog does just because he or she is not a pet? What difference does not being a pet make to the pig's desire to live out their life in full? I don't understand the logic of your statement

The fundamental difference is in the way they are being killed! I haven't heard of pigs, cows, etc. being tortured to death before consumption. So why are Koreans and other asian nationalities torturing only cats and dogs???! THAT is what makes the whole thing so appalling, not the simple fact that cats and dogs are being eaten. To be honest, years ago I used to think what is the big deal about eating dogs? They are not much different from pigs (biologically) - until I found out about the...

The same goes for any other animal by the way. I used to like eating snake soup, until I found out how the snakes are killed... I haven't touched snake soup ever since!

I am replying to Michaela Stoffels ignorant comment, "I haven't heard of pigs, cows, etc. being tortured to death before consumption". Really? What rock have you been hiding under? Factory farming is extremely cruel and ALL animals are treated very cruelly on farms and in slaughterhouses. There is no such thing as humane slaughter and animals having their throats cut, limbs severed, and being skinned all while still alive and conscious is a common occurrence. They are also routinely beaten,...

Factory farming is extremely cruel and ALL animals are treated very cruelly on farms and in slaughterhouses. There is no such thing as humane slaughter and animals having their throats cut, limbs severed, and being skinned all while still alive and conscious is a common occurrence. They are also routinely beaten, kicked, dragged, and poked with electric prods on their way to the kill line. Dairy cows are raped with a metal tube filled with bull semen, forced to have a calf every year, their baby is then ripped away from them before it even hits the barn floor. Boy babies are killed right away or locked in veal crates and killed at 6 weeks old, girl babies suffer the same fate as their mother - and when their milk supply dries up at about 4 years old, they are made into your hamburgers. And don't think "organic" or "free range" means the animals are treated any better because they're not. Do some research - if you eat meat on the basis of your food being treated kindly, I promise you will become vegan overnight!

Boycotting is truly the only way to get through to them that THEY MUST STOP THIS!!! I'm including China, Thailand and Vietnam in this as well.

We should also shun them when they visit our countries. Make everything as difficult for them as we can.

Please, I really hate to be firm, but never mind the sermons. Nobody cares over there - or even here. In fact, religion helps them kill (as they justify it from scriptures). They slaughter animals here using biblical texts. If you want to help, skip the preaching to us. Make a difference to those that are doing these things to these poor animals.

Sorry Christopher, but without my Lord, I can do nothing. I will not deny Him now, no never - especially not after He has Saved me and allowed me to help those precious souls as I am able to do... No, not by my might, but by His. In truth, without Him, I am nothing. No, I will never leave Him out of anything I do – not my words, nor my work, not my rescuing, nor my life; for to do so would be to cut off any ability I may have to provide for those beloved beings that are in such desperate need. God bless you and good nite.

I've been working for animals for years and during that time I've seen cruelty beyond belief. But worst of all I've seen nothing to indicate that things are improving over all that time. In fact despite all the campaigning I think things are getting worse and nothing I or others do is making any difference to the bigger picture of animal cruelty. Sites like this are full of well meaning people all expressing outrage time and time again, but the sad truth is that the cruelty continues...

Sites like this are full of well meaning people all expressing outrage time and time again, but the sad truth is that the cruelty continues despite that and shows no sign of ending. .. ever. I don't believe it ever will no matter what we do. The majority just don't care. And even if they ARE horrified at something it doesn't last. After a short 'oh my god that's horrible' and then they forget about it and return to their unthinking, uncaring lives. It might sound 'condemning' but it's a historically proven fact, just look around!

I agree. It's such a sad world! And being on the computer brings it all home much too graphically . Still, we have to keep trying to change things and take pleasure from the well looked after pets in our care.

If you're boiling about this, JUST SAY NO in AUGUST, to purchasing ANY S KOREAN PRODUCTS. We will do it again in October and again in December. I'm saying 'NO' via my pocket, because that's what my mother told me: "If you want to send a message to someone that they will listen to, hit them where it hurts...in their pockets!" So, that's what I'm doing. I hope you will all join in this effort, to help S Korea understand that this is NOT ACCEPTABLE to anyone. We are America, and we are strong...

We are America, and we are strong because we know how to stand up, together, for what we believe in. We have a voice, and I hope each of you will join me in using it, on behalf of all those that are forced to suffer in silence. Let's be their voice! And what about America's horrendous human rights record in the Congo via Apple and it's smart 'blood' phones (along with other manufacturers), or Guantanano Bay where basic civil rights have been ignored ever since 2011 with potentially innocent people still being held against all basic human rights laws years later or a host of other things the US should be boycotted for. Are you willing to be consistent in your boycotting, or should we only boycott your personal biases? Do you agree we should all be boycotting US products until they apologise, 'grow up' and start acting with more humanity? If be interested to know from someone who advocates 'boycotting South korea' and 'buying everything from America' . You might want to rethink that.

Will our own government and businesses take action too? They are the ones bringing in goods from these Asian countries, not us. If it was up to me, we would make everything in America again, so people here would have more jobs. Will they listen, and take part? I mean, people can only buy what is on the shelves, we are forced to buy stuff made overseas a lot, and I hate it. So many people just do not know, or feel they can do nothing by themselves, or do not know what to do, or just feel like...

What can we really do that is powerful, that will get our own businesses and government to stop helping these bastards, and stop buying their cheap, low quality crud? We must stop it but how, exactly, and more people must know, everyone must know, and they do not right now.

There are many who feel that America should also be boycotted for its treatment of animals, it's draconian animal welfare laws and corporate abuse mentallity. ..do you think the rest of the world should boycott America too?

Boycott, boycott, boycott...anything that comes from S Korea. It's the only way we can get the message across to their gov't, and to their people. It's time the animals had a voice. I PLEDGE NOT TO PURCHASE ANYTHING MADE BY S KOREA, UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT ALL DOGS, CATS AND HORSES ARE NO LONGER KILLED for HUMAN CONSUMPTION OR FOR FUR! I urge each and everyone of you to do the same.

There is only one way to stop this barbarism: BOYCOTT ANYTHING KOREAN!!! The S. Korean government turns a deaf ear to the protests and outcries from all over the world, but the country relies heavily on export. So get them where it hurts - money! BOYCOTT SOUTH KOREA!!! I have done so for a while! I have no Korean car, I don't have a Samsung smart phone, I don't buy Korean foodstuffs or clothes and I will not travel to South Korea, not even for a business trip! I will not touch anything...

If more people do the same their corrupt government will eventually be brought to it's knees on the issue.

It's a great idea Michaela, and I applaud you for doing it. But unfortunately a few thousand caring people boycotting them will make no difference when billions continue to do business with them daily. I don't know what the solution is, if there even is one at all.

People in the West just don't want to know. I tried to get people with pets to at least sign the petition, but no, It's to much to ask.
