Get the AF base [Cannon Air Force Base] to support prairie dogs. AFB is Federal. Most locals will listen to local base commander or someone in Command. Even just few Airmen in uniform probably would get attention.
WHY THAT IS SO TOTALLY NOT FAIR BULL SHIT !
May God bless you all people who care and mind about God's creatures.....yes Peggie, you are right! GOD NEVER MITAKES HIMSELF! Let's pray so all the people in Clovis reconsider about their evil plan to kill all those wonderful creatures. They exist for some reason, and they deserve to live. Who told human beings that we are the owners of the earth and all of its creatures? That is pure arrogance! I will keep on praying so we, humans, can understand this!
They are prairie dogs, not regular dogs, but still have the right to live in "THEIR" habitat. Leave them alone or at least have the decency to move them somewhere else if possible.
every creature have the righ to live!
Prairie dogs deserve a place to live, just like any other creature on this earth. Oh, wait a minute, are they bothering humans? Are they considered, by some, a nuisance?? Oh well, then by all means, let's eradicate them because that's the simplest thing to do. Pretty soon the only nature we're going to have left will live in zoos. Human beings are, by far, the most selfish, self-serving creatures on this planet and we will NEVER LEARN to do the right thing!
Prairie Dogs are important to agriculture, they are mother natures irrigation workers <3
The reason these dogs are stray is because man doesn't take care of their pets.
They're not pets. They are wild little animals the make burrows in farmers fields. And of course the farmers are not too good at living with "nature" So, as per usual they want to eliminate the prairie "dog"
Killing for fun is barbaric. The prairie dogs had a new home and the idiots in Clovis would rather slaughter these sweet animals. This is what is happening all over the world, no compassion shown. Sad situation.
Did they violate any open meetings law? I know PETA is a real "hot button" word with people, especially ranchers, but could they help -- maybe help find another place for the animals to be relocated and even help with funding? It is worth asking. This is definitely animal abuse if they are going to be gassed in October. Check the national PETA website for how to contact them if you suspect abuse and go from there, maybe?
