Small farms animals are no less dead when killed by small farmers. Instead of wondering whether small farms are better than large farms, why not stop eating animals and put to rest the notion of "happy slaughter" altogether?

I learned of the treatment of animals in these factory farms over 20 years ago, and did not have the heart to eat another one ever again. I even wrote a paper on factory farming for my ethics class in college; that's how much these cruel treatment of animals affected me. I truly believe that if people saw the suffering, captivity, cruelty, and hideous treatment these beautiful animals endure before they are killed to make burgers, chicken sandwiches, bacon and so on, some people would think...
