WOW: 20 YEARS, we call that justice? for firing a gun into the ceiling, even if she was shooting at him and missed 20 YEARS. A man KILLS a teenager (TRAVON) and is FREE. she shoots a gun into the ceiling and she gets 20 YEARS. I know what kind of justice that is, JUST US.

Absolutely unjust this sentence...it is documented the history of domestic disputes and restraining orders against this man she feared....how is this possible???

I've worked in the prison environment for 8 yrs and if she didn't shoot the abuser who in her defense was in feared for her life well that just isn't right. I realize that each state has their own laws but it seems to me that that is one law that should be changed besides she didn't kill or hurt anyone which in my eyes she would have been justified in doing so.

what? What do you think she was convicted of? What do you think the facts in this case are? Or would you prefer to get the emotional one-sided biased crap this media is allowing you to have. Think before you react. That's why we have so many things that are corrupt running our country!

It's time to abolish these "slavery" laws of the Deep South that spearhead these injustices that people of color seem to be enduring! These laws are "grandfathered" into our society, but don't seem to exist (in written form) anywhere else in America! The struggle continues.......
