This is a travesty and denial of justice--Trayvon was unarmed and yelled for help. Vigilantes do not obey the law and Zimmerman is nothing but a kiler of an underage teenager.

He didn't yell for help - his family and friends jumped on that band wagon in order to prove GZ as the aggressor. GZ took a lie detector test and was proven truthful about that question and that it was "he" who called out for help.

I believe GZ screamed for help for biting more than he can chew when he picked on Trayvon. Then pulled out his gun cause he was getting his ass beat!

Nice from a man in the Military. Do you always talk like that to women? I didn't say I had lost faith in the country or the troops that protect our country.

So you want me to sign a petition to violate someone's second amendment rights? He was acquitted of the charges. It's a shame the teen got killed. But what about all of the gang murders in Chicago?

I believe when members of gang are discovered their gun privileges are taken away, therefore, if a person kills an innocent child in a derange way he should not be allowed to have a gun to do it again.

"shame" is a very light term to use for an adult killing a child. Zimmerman was already in trouble with the law

OJ chose to flee from police..that's why they had a man hunt for him. Please reference a case you know something about.

A dispatch told him not to follow (not the authorities or police). There is no proof that he did or didn't continue to follow him after he said "Okay" that he would stop. Have any of you watched the the trial? Or are you still believing the media crap that turned this into a bigger circus than it should have been? And since when do black people listen to authorities? You don't even talk to the police when you witness a crime in a bad neighborhood! But b/c GZ is half white he is supposed to?

And if neighborhood and police actually did something about the crime in their neighborhoods besides hiding out behind closed doors; criminals would be caught & neighborhood watches wouldn't be needed. A man protecting his neighborhood and keeping an eye on a suspicious person is not racist or against the law. A punk kid beating his ass to the ground and pounding his head on the cement IS a crime. No one stepped in to help and GZ was forced to use deadly force to stop his attacker. He was...

You attack someone like that; the system won't even recognize you as a minor. GZ had to stop the attack. He called for help and no one helped (accept called the police).

The real problem here is that half a dozen people call the police about the incident as it was occurring, and not a single one actually went outside to help "whoever" was screaming help at the top of their lungs. In the end this case just highlights the failings that many Americans have being cowards today. The situation could have been totally avoided if someone had just gone to help.

Yes, it says volumes. I was surprised though that it was just 2 minutes from when Zimmerman spoke to the police to when the police arrived. In the meantime and following the arrival of the police is the time when those 6 phone calls were made. In all this who was to know that Zimmerman had a gun, which is the whole point of this petition.

Why would anyone except the government need to know he carried a gun? Unless put in a situation when he need to use it (like in this case), it is actually illegal to show the weapon you are carrying. It's called "brandishing" and can get you arrested. Not to mention that a large number of people have an unwarranted phobia of firearms that is disproportionate to their actual effect. As for the phone calls, I listened to every single one, the first one had more than enough time to go outside...

As for the phone calls, I listened to every single one, the first one had more than enough time to go outside and help. The other callers could hear the altercation as it was going on and only called the police after they heard the gunshot, which tells me that they too had time to go outside and see what was going on.
