It is a terrible crime in and of itself to commit cruelty to an animal as this woman did and therefore she should have received a significant jail sentence, especially, as what she did in most states would be labeled felony animal cruelty! This dog’s life had worth and she had no right to take it away, (just as no one would have the right to take her life away). She should have to pay for what she did and be punished for her awful crime! The other very important issue that this judge tragically overlooked, is that animal cruelty is frequently a precursor to violent crimes against people. It is well documented in law enforcement files that there is a strong relationship between people who commit vicious crimes to animals and at some point, go on to commit crimes to people. Thus, if we want a less crime- ridden society and people who respect the lives of all sentient beings, it starts with making people accountable for their crimes against animals!

It is both UNCONSCIONABLE & APPALLING that our judicial system, via these reprehensible rulings, has become complicit in the continued brutal animal cruelty that is plaguing our society.

This POS bitch belongs in prison, and the clearly incompetent judge should be fired, then charged as an accessory after the fact for letting her off.
