I am planning to install a second rain barrel to avoid run off. This has been a great way to use gravity and natural rain to water my flowers this season. I will pick up trash that i see near my rivers, streams and lakes. Just keep a trash bag or more in the car or with me when walking the dog.
Local good folks, R.E.I., sponsors wetlands cleanups about once a month. Mostly (last time) knocking down blackberry bushes, general trash removal, and it includes wetlands tree planting as well. Make sure and bring your heavy duty galoshes!!
I capture rain water and use it to water plants. I turn off the water while I shower. I leave items that need to be soaked in the sink so they fill up through hand washing, etc. I also use water or ice that needs to be dumped on plants. I also have desert landscaping.
I use rain barrels to conserve
i pledge to use water carefully and wisely!!!
Without clean water... we die... simple as that..
Catch raine water in buckets to water plants /gardens /even your animals
I suggest beer drinkers chill out with something else.
Yes please be respectful to nature and not pollute our tubing rivers with empty beer cans bottles and random garbage pretty soon the state may pass a law against tubing anymore do to ignorant ppl who don't care about our rivers and lakes.... Not likely but they are cracking down on littering and issuing tickets for it so respect mother nature and enjoy tubing with out pollution:-)
GREAT, I WELCOME THE CRACKDOWN, IT'S ABOUT TIME, ALREADY. APPARENTLY SOME NEED 2B PUNISHED IN ORDER 2 STOP THEIR THOUGHTLESS, DISGUSTING WAYS. II HOPE U & WE ALL WILL B ABLE 2 ENJOY OUR LAKES & RIVERS IN TIMES 2 COME.
When I go for walk about with my friend to the beach. I take 2 bags. one for collecting beach glass, rocks and shells and the 2nd to pickup trash I find along the shore or in the water.
