The Cruelty and Killing is Worldwide Rosalba not just in America, People in China and Korea eat Dogs and Cats which is bad enough but they torture them first. Apparently they believe the more the poor soul suffers and is afraid the better the meat tastes. Really? Really sickening.

@ Rosalba: When you say "killing for no reason," I wish this were limited to those that have no regard for animals, but sadly, even those claiming to care, have such sad results: http://www.nathanwinograd.com/?p=12153

This IS the bigger picture of which I keep speaking. This is where my fight lies. It's a most difficult one but I must be aboard.

These people were so cruel in the way they were treating these poor defenceless animals. They acted as if they actually hate animals. If animals have to die so we can eat them they deserve to be treated with respect and empathy on their last journey!

Don't be an idiot. ANIMALS DON'T HAVE TO DIE. JUST STOP EATING THEM. Respect and empathy before you kill them? How is killing them anything approaching respect?

I do wish I knew how to share it on my timeline on facebook, but all that comes up is invitations to friends there, individually. I want to do what I can to spread this, but as I know my own sensitivity, I don't want to encroach my friends' decisions. I want to show them, not force them, nor make them feel that I'm a fanatic, so they just dont care, or that I'm too much, thus they go against it. I know my standpoint, so do my friends, and sometimes that's enough to affect them. ...

All the cruelty on Earth have a devastating effect on many of us and make it so hard to live and stay out of eternal nightmares. And, I would never eat meat, drink milk, eat eggs, wear fur, and so on, well knowing this is not enough. I try, I struggle the ways I can.

I'm sorry I couldn't watch. I am so very much against animal cruelty of any kind. It sickens me to be a part of the inhumane race. Every bit of the reality destroys my faith in mankind. We are out to destroy the world at this rate. God help uall .

There is one important point and issue about vegan-ism/vegetarian-ism that I'd like to mention when those who follow this type of living - what would all the farmers do with their specially bred livestock - the pigs, cows, sheep, chickens etc. If they don't kill them - do they let them run wild - to their detriment? What about the domestic animals that rely on we humans to feed them? Don't think for one minute that we could make them vegans too - that just wouldn't work, nor would it be...

Don't think for one minute that we could make them vegans too - that just wouldn't work, nor would it be healthy for them - a fact that has been proven by veterinary scientists. All the animals breeding would increase their numbers - to what end? Also, what would the tens of thousands of farmers do for a living suddenly if deprived of their occupations? Certainly it would be impracticable to try and make them grow vegetables! I really don't think that people have thought this through properly! The sudden cessation of not using animal products would not only affect the farmers but myriads of others.

We should stop breeding them now, mostly it is artificial breeding and if we live on a plant based diet we use less land to farm it so allowing more space for wild animals. Cats can be vegan with the right supplements. Why is it impractical for farmers to grow plants direct for humans rather than farming animals and growing plants to feel both humans and the animals used as food. You really have not thought it out have you? It would not happen overnight, it would be a gradual change and therefore totally manageable!

Livestock can be phased out over the course of their natural lifespans through neutering/denial of breeding. As an ex. it will only take appr. 25 years before there are no more beef cattle without killing them. Domestic animals such as cats and dogs can be fed via "in vitro meat" also called "lab-grown meat." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lab_grown_meat

I'm an avid anti animal cruelty person, BUT I'm not a vegan or vegetarian by choice. If other people wish to be either, that's entirely their business, so long as they don't try to foist their views on others.

We are not trying here Rick to impose our views at all.. :( Seriously - its up to anyone of our members to watch and share. Their choice and what you do after you watch it, is your business alone . J

I disagree. Too many people won't come out and tell the truth. If you eat animals you're not really against cruelty. You're only against looking like you're cruel, trying to fool yourself and other people. If you really care about animals you wouldn't contribute to 200 billion+ animals being tortured to death every year.
