When something is aired as a factual news report that has been edited to give a different impression, the network has betrayed the trust of the people it serves. The press is responsible to present information to the public so that informed decisions can be made. The US Constitution protects them. They have now become a propaganda machine and deserve to have their press passes revoked.

Oh you mean NBC and MSNBC are doing the same thing FOX and BECK do, very interesting. Now why would you be outraged by one and not the other.

Wtf would an internal investigation do? Need an independent look into this. Not someone within the network. Nbc,abc, fox, cnn all of them are guilty. Just look at some of the boston marathon videos

The integrity of the news media has deteriorated so badly it may eventually force the public to rely more and more on the web for honest news reporting........,until they finally find a way to use the web to distort their version of the truth also..........it's coming!!!

My opinion is Fox News is now the only national news channel fair to both political parties - with possibly a slight lean to the right. However; whichever news channel one chooses to watch, we know whatever the issue may be, it's repeatedly embellished in their grasp for the highest ratings. Yes, there is political corruption in the news media as well as our government which fan the fires of unrest doing more harm than good. Power, money and greed breed corruption.

I am appalled at the press in this nation! Shame on any network which reports false information. I can tell you that one day they will pay for harming our precious America. God will separate the sheep from the goats. His truth shall prevail. I watch only Fox News. The rest are controlled by the corrupt.

5th estate my butt... it's getting so that you can't trust anything anymore, not even after fact-checking it through a "reputable" website. Time may come the media won't even have the guts to report the news anymore... The less time any of us spends w/ our eyes glued to the TV, hoping for some "good news," the better. Because people are more attracted to train wrecks than we are to happy pieces. And the media knows this. It's all about ratings... it's all about your vote...

On point #5 [MSNBC hyped a minor Romney gaffe by editing a video to remove substance of argument, suggesting he was out of touch. (June 2012)]: in MSNBC's defense, Romney made Romney look out of touch. If they found they had to selectively edit a particular clip to convey that story, they probably just picked the wrong clip.
