There was no apparent reason to arrest the man. They didn't have to torture the dog. Do we know if the dog is still alive. That was animal cruelty and police brutality at it's worst.

Rodney Knight: Yes, I do think some cops are very aggressive and react too vigorously at times. Could they have maybe used another method to subdue the dog,....? Possibly, and I do wish they'd tried a tazer or some such before putting him down permanently. These cops didn't appear to be angry though, not at all that I could tell.
Cindy Moynan: I don't think the cops looked pissed off at all about that. They didn't even look angered at all. They instructed him to leave and he didn't do so. He was interfering with their job. If they were pissed at all it'd have been for taunting them as he was. And he was absolutely too close to the situation.
Mark Wemple: My thought processes are wrong? Really? Why is that? Because they happen to disagree with yours? I'm sorry you think so but it is what it is! I think you're wrong! How's that for processing?
That cop just wanted to shoot the dog ,, asshole dog killer at 3min and 13 seconds you see him approach the dog with gun drawn, and reach for the dog ,
If that had happened to one of my dogs, it would have ripped my heart out. And I would have cursed my baby's murderers and not in a wash one's mouth out with soap sort of way either!
Inhumane SOB'S!!!!! Bring them to justice!!
Heartbreaking. I am so angry and sad after viewing that footage. That poor man did absolutely nothing wrong and the dog was obviously just concerned for his owner. What a terrible waste of life.
