The cops had no business with the man and his dog. It was an unjust arrest and killing of a dog. They should have just continued doing their job and let people that are watching and taping on their cell phones alone. If they have nothing to hide then they shouldn't worry about the people that are watching. This killing of the dog, the whole incident could have been avoided. Hawthorne PD has killed dogs a number of times and it is unjust. They are just too quick to shoot. Punish the cop.

These companion dog shootings/killings seem to be increasing in frequency all over the country--or is it just that with Social Media we are more aware of them. What is being done in Police Departments to avoid this??

Just about the saddest thing I've ever seen. None of that ever should have happened. They probably shouldn't have even been arresting the guy in the first place but they obviously need training on how to handle dogs. Senseless!!!

Fucking disgusting - senseless slaying of a lovely dog - gun culture? No wonder there is so much shooting in America - Police set NO example by being trigger happy!

The dog protects his owner. Don´t the police force learn anything at their education?
