If you do not change the "State in the initial paragraph of this Petition from 'Virginia' to 'California' this petition will be meaningless. Just saying.

The sad part is how taxpayers' dollars will be paid to this dumb ass dog owner just to shut him up. The money should come from the Policemen's' Retirement Funding instead. Punishing their wallets is a death blow to the Achilles' heel. Maybe then the police would not be so fast to squeeze the trigger.

I could not watch this, but I have kept up on stories involving this. I still say there could of been another way. I keep saying that Society needs to wake up, incidents such as this really gives off a "repore" to others that it is okay just to kill, abuse a animal. America needs to wake up.. Cops need to have additional training in how to handle cases like this.

The bite of police brutality and corruption in this country is far more damaging to our civil liberties and freedom than any dog could ever be.

"And justice for all"...including man's best friend, the dog!

I hope someone shoots this bully. I hope someone shows the same measure of mercy to the police force that they showed poor Max. This is why wealthy people like me don't donate to the police.

This cop had in mind to execute this dog all along just to punish the man. Granted, the man here was dumb for putting his dog in jeopardy and should have minded his own business, but surely they could have used pepper spray instead of a 9mm.

This just goes to show how evil the police really are and how brutality among them is rampant. This cop needs to be fired w/o pay and benefits because he will put all of his partners in the line of fire as well as innocent citizens. Some day, someone may shoot at him and rightly so.

The police injustice in this land has gone too far.

I agree with Kayla, it was apparent the owner was concerned for his dog before the police approached and the suspect was compliant with law enforcement. The owner should have been allowed to restrain his pet. Had the officers been trained to be aware of this type of situation, the officers could have handled this without incident. I am a dog owner and I believe the officer over reacted, but I believe this could have and can be resolved with proper training.

this is disgusting, poor dog did nothing to deserve that, if it was a human would he have done the same thing, no coz that would be murder and funny enough he would have gone to prison for it, same thing should apply to this

honestly what human doesn't have the sense to un-cuff the owner and let him put the dog back in the car? all those cops deserve to lose their jobs for this act of stupidity.

"chaotic situations"?? Really you call this chaotic. The situation is as clear as can be. The guy arrested isn't resisting. If they just let him calm the dog down nothing bad, besides him being arrested, would have happened.
