Poor baby. R.I.P. But not only the Sumatrans are responsible, we all are. We have to boycott products containing palm oil and write to the manufacturers to let them know that we do not want palm oil in our food. As long as there is a demand, there will be people and governments ready to satisfy that demand for profit.

I agree, please tell me how I can boycott these items and what manufactures to write to,

Kimberly M. Harmon Materia

Mona would be correct.... demand+profit= death to our innocent, vulnerable and defenseless animal friends.

This is an outrage! How can you take a innocent life? and a baby, at that!! Shame on you. You people are a disgrace. Maybe you should be killing your government leaders, instead of the innocent animals!! Your government is the cause, NOT the animals!!

Poor little soul. These idiot villagers took out their impotent rage on a baby elephant. Palm oil, for the most part, is BAD for humans anyway - as was the mindless and stupid cruelty on the part of the villagers. Wonder if any of them are in-name-only-Buddhists? If so, I guess they slept through the lesson on KARMA.

Who are the companies that are obtaining palm oil here? Does anyone know?

SHAMEFUL on ALL INVOLVED! FOR SHAME! MAY YOU CHOKE ON PALM OIL. VILLAGERS CAN CHOKE ON PALM OIL. NO SYMPATHY.

Look at the tears streaming down it's precious face...crops can be replanted, baby elephant can't come back for the dead.....these people are deplorable....cut ties with them. To be cruel to animals who cannot fend for themselves is just wrong!!

Downright cruelty, people should know better, there is know need to do that to a baby elephant ,nor any animal. The village needs educating, animals have a right on this earth as much as us.
