Hideous. That dog was of medium size, and didn't look vicious, only as if he was demonstrating the usual loyalty dogs have for their owners. The man gave himself up voluntarily, and beyond the fact that fact that the dog seemed able to be restrained without being killed, what looked like sheer cruelty was the way the officer shot him repeatedly and then just stood back calmly, holding his fire while he WATCHED the dog writhe in pain. Why wouldn't he at least "finish off" the animal he...

Why wouldn't he at least "finish off" the animal he put in great pain in the first place?...That looked VERY sadistic. No one wants a sick, sadistic individual "officially" carrying a badge and a gun.

Totally agree! Take away the gun before he shots another innocent bystander. This is outrageous. That insect of a human should be shot and left to die slowly...

That officer have NO self control and needs to be FIRED! There were people around who could have EASILY been harmed from gunshots being fired for No Reason! ANY officer who pulls their gun so quickly and without good cause, Does Not Deserve To Serve THE PEOPLE.

Wow! That's quite an assessment. 4 times Max came at them. I believe the police showed remarkable self control. I know that there might have people off screen and in the line of fire, but there was nobody on screen and in the line of fire. Trust me, when a large, powerful dog, of the type that is frequently used for guard dog, is coming right at you, 4 times (one time being to within a foot or less of your body) the shots are not "for no reason". I disagree with your last statement. The...

I disagree with your last statement. The officer saw a real, potential threat (large dog who's owner was being held by the police) and responded as he should have. I'm pretty sure he didn't pull his gum thinking, "Oh goody, I get to shoot a big dog. Wait 'till I get his head mounted on my wall." Is that what you think he was thinking? Max's health and safety still set squarely on the shoulder of Max's owner.

Bridget, nothing like this is acceptable; the owner was telling the dog to stay back. Dogs protect their owners. You are 100% WRONG

Are you nuts? Even though I am usually supportive of law enforcement, this was a cruel use of brute force! If you think that what that officer did was acceptable, YOU belong in the pile of excrement people who should be shot and left to die slowly as well!

As a matter of fact, Leon Rosby's young daughter was in the car. She is devastated and frightened. She believes the Hawthorn PD would have harmed her father were it not for Max, the Rottweilers intervention that cost him his life.

Hi tech nation with a low minded enforcer... Too reckless! Must have apply a precautionary measure to avoid this kind of incedent, his an officer! he must know something about it...

Alfred Amedeo Corradini Sr.

AN officer should have been posted to keep a line NOT TO CROSS , NOT arrest any one you feel like and shoot animals ! If the other incident was so GOD AWFUL IMPORTANT then those officers should have stayed there ! NOT LEAVE A MAJOR scene to go to a MINOR one !

These cops are a menace to society, they go around killing people for no reason like the homeless man they beat to death to the guy that was cuffed in the back seat and was shot to death. This is a big problem when they just kill peoples pets which are like kids to most of us, fire that son of a bitch!!!!!

I'm so digusted at what I just saw. # 1 ALL THE MAN WAS DOING WAS FILMING THE COPS IN CASE THEY BEAT A PERSON OR SOMETHING ELSE THEY SHOULDN'T. # 2 HE PUT HIS DOG IN THE CAR WHEN HE SEEN THE COPS APPROACH HIM. HE SHOULD'VE BEEN TOLD TO LEAVE. NOT CUFFED IN FRONT OF HIS PROTECTOR. WHY PUT SO MANY BULLETS IN HIM? HIS OWNER COULD'VE GOT HIM UNDER CONTROL.HE WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB. THAT POOR DOG AND OWNER THAT SURELY LOVED HIM.COPS ARE GETTING SO BAD. I HAD SO MUCH RESRECT FOR THEM ALONG TIME...

This was animal cruelty, the man could have gotten the dog back in his car and the dog was not vicious, why was he being handcuffed, for taking a video??!! Officer should be charged and fired for this senseless act!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
