Hideous. That dog was of medium size, and didn't look vicious, only as if he was demonstrating the usual loyalty dogs have for their owners. The man gave himself up voluntarily, and beyond the fact that fact that the dog seemed able to be restrained without being killed, what looked like sheer cruelty was the way the officer shot him repeatedly and then just stood back calmly, holding his fire while he WATCHED the dog writhe in pain. Why wouldn't he at least "finish off" the animal he...

Why wouldn't he at least "finish off" the animal he put in great pain in the first place?...That looked VERY sadistic. No one wants a sick, sadistic individual "officially" carrying a badge and a gun.

Totally agree! Take away the gun before he shots another innocent bystander. This is outrageous. That insect of a human should be shot and left to die slowly...

That officer have NO self control and needs to be FIRED! There were people around who could have EASILY been harmed from gunshots being fired for No Reason! ANY officer who pulls their gun so quickly and without good cause, Does Not Deserve To Serve THE PEOPLE.

Wow! That's quite an assessment. 4 times Max came at them. I believe the police showed remarkable self control. I know that there might have people off screen and in the line of fire, but there was nobody on screen and in the line of fire. Trust me, when a large, powerful dog, of the type that is frequently used for guard dog, is coming right at you, 4 times (one time being to within a foot or less of your body) the shots are not "for no reason". I disagree with your last statement. The...

I disagree with your last statement. The officer saw a real, potential threat (large dog who's owner was being held by the police) and responded as he should have. I'm pretty sure he didn't pull his gum thinking, "Oh goody, I get to shoot a big dog. Wait 'till I get his head mounted on my wall." Is that what you think he was thinking? Max's health and safety still set squarely on the shoulder of Max's owner.

police are mostly love to fire gun is make them feel great .and they are mostly stupid anyway that is why they want to be a police person to be in the uniform allow them to be stupid the way they act.. this is why I do not like cop not a bit.

This cop is a disgrace to police officers everywhere. What a pitiful excuse for a human being.

Why was the man even being arrested?? I am so sick of police abusing power they don't deserve. If you watch closely, it's the officer that lunges at the dog TWICE! Then shoots the dog when it responds and doesn't even have the decency to put the dog down. Not even human in my opinion!!

Unbelievable - there was NO reason to shoot this dog and then stand there like an IDIOT and watch it writhe in pain. The animal did NOT pose a threat - the officer had PLENTY of time to move away - the incompetent cop was definatively OVERZEALOUS - and should be kicked off the force. I do not berate cops easily - but this is blatant incompetence - obviously the dog approached prior times and did NOTHING - there was NO indication that this dog was going to do ANYTHING - what an a**hole -...

that was just WRONG in so many ways. The man did nothing wrong and you shot his dog for trying to protect his owner. They should all be fired.

Still, I feel that among other things he might have a case for claiming this as a racist action as well as cruelty to the poor baby they killed.

Killing Max was a retaliation against his owner, pure and simple and having him watch his beloved dog writhe and suffer was icing on the cake. The Officer got his "evens" by killing the dog in the cruelest way he could.
