Hideous. That dog was of medium size, and didn't look vicious, only as if he was demonstrating the usual loyalty dogs have for their owners. The man gave himself up voluntarily, and beyond the fact that fact that the dog seemed able to be restrained without being killed, what looked like sheer cruelty was the way the officer shot him repeatedly and then just stood back calmly, holding his fire while he WATCHED the dog writhe in pain. Why wouldn't he at least "finish off" the animal he...

Why wouldn't he at least "finish off" the animal he put in great pain in the first place?...That looked VERY sadistic. No one wants a sick, sadistic individual "officially" carrying a badge and a gun.

Totally agree! Take away the gun before he shots another innocent bystander. This is outrageous. That insect of a human should be shot and left to die slowly...

That officer have NO self control and needs to be FIRED! There were people around who could have EASILY been harmed from gunshots being fired for No Reason! ANY officer who pulls their gun so quickly and without good cause, Does Not Deserve To Serve THE PEOPLE.

Wow! That's quite an assessment. 4 times Max came at them. I believe the police showed remarkable self control. I know that there might have people off screen and in the line of fire, but there was nobody on screen and in the line of fire. Trust me, when a large, powerful dog, of the type that is frequently used for guard dog, is coming right at you, 4 times (one time being to within a foot or less of your body) the shots are not "for no reason". I disagree with your last statement. The...

I disagree with your last statement. The officer saw a real, potential threat (large dog who's owner was being held by the police) and responded as he should have. I'm pretty sure he didn't pull his gum thinking, "Oh goody, I get to shoot a big dog. Wait 'till I get his head mounted on my wall." Is that what you think he was thinking? Max's health and safety still set squarely on the shoulder of Max's owner.

Look at this tax paying citizen's face, Leon, in the still of this video..Imagine, watching someone gun down your dog while that dog is protecting YOU, and you are handcuffed and can't protect your dog? imagine the trauma that could cause. And to know, you toil and pay taxes for this kind of 'protection'? It's happening all too often, these arrogant cops kill a pet and get by with it. It's time we let our authorities know that if this can't be fixed, then we'll vote someone into office that CAN fix this.

The cops could have had animal control come out to secure the dog before he was arrested. That's a fail on the police department and should be charged with animal cruelty

LET'S GET THE BARNEY FIFES OFF THE STREETS SO OUR PETS CAN BE SAFE AGAIN, IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE I WOULD HAVE BROKEN THE OFFICERS LEGS WITH MY BAT, THEY SHOULD HAVE USED THE SPRAY BUT THEY WERE TOO QUICK TO PULL OUT THEIR DAMN PISTOLS THAT I WISH THAT WOULD HAVE BLOWN UP IN THEIR UGLY FACES. ALL OFFICERS HERE NEED TO BE FIRED AND NEVER ALLOWED TO CARRY FIRE ARMS AGAIN AND SERVE TIME IN PRISON FOR 15 TO 20 YEARS WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE.
