Anyone know whether Ahava's going to be on the European Union banned list starting in 2014?

The European Union is pushing for proper labeling of Israeli settlement goods, and new labeling guidelines are in the works for early 2014. In terms of being eligible for EU research funding, it's still unclear as Ahava CLAIMS that its research facility is in Israel proper (while the factory and visitors center are in the illegal settlement of Mitzpe Shalem in the West Bank).

Really?!? I have read books and articles about the occupation. What about L'Oreal or Revlon? They must have some factories on land that was confiscated from the Palestinians.

Esti, Rabi all over the world, including Israel, are denouncing the State of Israel for crimes against humanity. Settler colonialists rarely see that what they do is criminal against the environment and Indigenous peoples. Your leaders stole the settler colonial mind set from the U.S. playbook against Native Americans. Against your own religion you gather in the holy land before your true leader has risen, and because of this and out of greed for Indigenous lands, you will become an easy...

Esti just because we disagree with what Israel does or says does not make us anti-semitic. It is so easy to say this. But there are many Jews in the UK who say to today's Israel, as I do, "not in my name"! At the moment it is easy to land grab and take away people's rights, but inevitably there will come some day a day of reckoning.

another forum for spewing hate all over the board, irrespective of demographic backgrounds. And they wonder why the Israelis and Palestinians cannot resolve differences. The posts here suggest that either evolution or divine creation failed with the human species.

Claim
– “The presence in Mitzpe Shalem creates a lot of problems for the Palestinians that
live there.” Facts
• Ahava does not interfere with the Palestinian population. Mitzpe Shalem is situated in an unpopulated area in undisputed territory in the Judea Desert, and there are no Palestinians residing in the vicinity of Mitzpe Shalem

Like all Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied territories, Mitzpe Shalem is considered illegal under international law, though Israeli disputes this. The international community considers Israeli settlements to violate the Fourth Geneva Convention's prohibition on the transfer of an occupying power's civilian population into occupied territory. Israeli government counters this by contending that the Fourth Geneva Convention does not apply to the Palestinian territories because they...

can someone tell me how one can support palestinian arabs and be anti-semetic at the same time? Since when is being anti settler, and anti zionist the same as being anti jewish or anti judaism..they are not the same thing. If I object to Assad and his poicies am I then anti syrian, if I object to the politics of Erdogan am I anti turkish. Many many jews are not zionists, and many object to zionism and settlements. What have the rights of palestinians ( no inverted commas) to do with Israel's...

Not to mention these companies are used as fronts to place Israeli spies across America in mall kiosks to sell their STOLEN goods to poor uneducated fools like Esti. People like you make me sick Esti, using the antisemitism card every time Israel gets called out on their bs. Guess what Esti?, Palestinians are Semites too, so you're kind of half right, you're just defending the wrong side.

Our allies at Who Profits received written documentation that Ahava excavates mud from the occupied shores of the Dead Sea. This is forbidden as pillage and plunder under international law.
