live there.” Facts

Like all Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied territories, Mitzpe Shalem is considered illegal under international law, though Israeli disputes this. The international community considers Israeli settlements to violate the Fourth Geneva Convention's prohibition on the transfer of an occupying power's civilian population into occupied territory. The international community considers Israeli settlements to violate the Fourth Geneva Convention's prohibition on the transfer of an occupying power's civilian population into occupied territory. Israeli government counters this by contending that the Fourth Geneva Convention does not apply to the Palestinian territories because they were not under the legitimate sovereignty of any state. This view has been rejected on the basis of an interpretation of rulings by the International Court of Justice and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

This will not cleanse the stain of Israeli occupation from the land of Palestine.

So, David, if your oppressors offer you double pay, you forget the oppression? The Palestinian economy has been devastated by the Israeli blockade, so often people have no choice to work for the occupying forces. Non violent protest is the way to go, even when met by brutal Israeli humiliation and violence on a daily basis.

Esti, you need to get with the programme! If someone were to steal your house and then sell your furniture - what would you call that? Exactly the same story here. Go and read up before you start engaging your pea-brain.

Esti, opposing occupation does not mean you hate Jews. Combined with your derailing attempt regarding people in Jordan (who aren't in an open-air prison in their own land), it shows that you really have no interest in actually discussing the issue. The average Palestinian has the right of self-determination, just like Jewish people do.

Esti, everything to you is apparently anti-Semitic, but here you are correct since we Arabs are also Semitic, so this in fact is anti-Semitic, towards the Palestinians

I don't understand why anyone would pay good money for mud, especially given than this product supports human rights violations.

It's not anti Semitism but it is bullshit to think that this kind of action will lead to a shift in Israeli public opinion of itself. Not only wont it do that, it also won't impact on the Israeli economy. Sure the Occupation policies and the facts of Occupation are repugnant, but the way to end them is by negotiation. This kind of action smacks of Israel loathing, and it will not result in the liberation of one centimetre of Occupied Palestinian soil.

The goal isn't to lead to a shift in Israeli public opinion of itself. It's to raise the cost of the occupation for everyone, not just Israeli Jews. Recall that 20% of Israel citizens are not Jews but Palestinians.

The objective is for the American people to learn how truly loathsome the Israeli gov't is; it is an unvarnished settler state as racist as Rhodesia and headed on a similar course. Negotiations are a complete charade and waste of time; when does an occupier "negotiate" with the occupied? Add that the U.S. is the unconditional patron of the Israeli state, replete with someone like Martin Indyck who was a paid employee of AIPAC- and is not even showing up to meetings (NYT 8/27), and the...
