the mssisipi river is one block away from my house, and there is always garbage in the water.
growing more of my own herbs than buying from shops. not buying things even they are on offer if the packaging is unethical (i.e. excessive) - it being recyclable is not good enough!
I am a senior citizen but I have a habit to pick up trash on my way and put it in the bins.some people are surprized when they see me doint it.

Farmers markets are open! I will be growing some of my own, and going to the organic growers for the rest of the summer!
I'm with you on that sue iam the same way anywhere I go , but my pledge is to reuse my my personal drinking bottle all the time unless its not possiable , I believe in the in recycling everything possiable.

This is a good initiative..1$ from everyone can really contribute to the cause.
My pledge: I will make eco-bricks out of the plastic and misc bits which I can't recycle, so they can be put to good use, and not end up in the landfill.
I bike to work everyday, at least till I get my liscence back...lol recycle and reuse..:)
