Use energy efficiencient light bulbs. They are a little more pricey but do help our home which we only have one of may I remind you!!!
I always pick up trash I notice while running through my city park. Forest Park Forever!
I patrol our beach twice a week for turtle nests and pick up a bag of trash each time. One thing I almost always find are broken baloons with streamers attached. How tempting to a turtle who likes to feed on jellyfish. I'd like to encourage some other form of celebration by the beach than releasing baloons.
I'll take th pledge!
I applaud Sue Sloan....I too do the same. It frustrates me so when I see our beautiful God given earth littered with trash. People...step it up please...., if we all help out just a bit every day, what a difference it would make. We'd feel good about ourselves, we'd be beautifying the earth, we'd be saving helpless animals, etc. - etc. Stay healthy, drink your Odwalla.....
I try to recycle, use an energy efficient bulb, and cut trash as much as possible.
doing my small part for the environment has been a way of life: gardening for food as well as pleasure, re-insulating the house to cut down on gas usage, installing a very high efficient furnace, picking up trash, recycling everything possible and teaching my children and grandchildren to do the same are just a few of the things that we have done all of our lives..... Many Thanks to all who help - small things do add up!
Its our moral duty towards our Mother Earth. We shall practise atleast one activity daily for the sake of energy conservation on Earth. Lets join hand to save Earth from Global warming.
I will try my hardest to make the children I teach aware of all that this generous but so ill treated Earth has to offer us.
