When I moved to NH my wife used to throw out a lot then I started recycling. I recycle at least 2 buckets a week.

I only throw out maybe a half a bag of mostly food scraps. I wish I could compost but, I don't think the neighbors would like that too much.

You can easily compost in an old flower pot. Add a small amount of soil, then organic scraps of food, cover with more soil and then add a bit of water. cover all with a black garbage bag. Add to it until the pot is full. It is key to cover all organic food scraps completely. When it is full place it in a corner of your garden for about 2 months. Open it and you fill find the best soil ever!!!! Never use inorganic material like meat or any meat by products. They draw flies! I've used cucumber...

I've used cucumber peels, apple cores, carrot peels, apple peels, banana peels and potato peels, plus some leaves and got lovely rish brown soil which I used to plant my geraniums. Good luck!!!

Use washing veg. water to water plants.
don't let water runs while shampooing.
wash max. amount of clothes at one time.
Cook just enough food and finish at a time, if
unable to finish, can keep for next meal (I use to bring to office as lunch), don't throw away if the food is still eatable.

Wash veg well; peel and save peelings. Spread them on a tray with a tiddly bit of oil and roast at the same time as the veg. Instant free healthy crispy nibbles.

Our Coral Reefs are being destroyed around the world , due to
cruise ships dropping their effluent in the sea and near their ports
of call . Coral reefs in the surrounding areas cannot sustain life
with all the garbage being dropped in the seas and oceans .

I saw a great idea, I am going to plant in pallets. I can put a few on my front porch, since my soil in the garden is just clay and rocks.
