Id like to mention a totally safe product called Diatomaceous Earth. It kills pests & is edible. People are using it to kill even bed bugs mites tics spiders flys moths carpet beetles cockroaches& fleas. This stuff needs looking at. Its cheap & can be made syntheticly. People are ingesting it to cure stomach worms & more.

Should be building those things on wasteland, land that nobody cares about, nobody visits, yet they want to build on perfectly good land, something which is becoming a rarity and without protection, this whole country and many others, would be one great big slab on concrete. We are building thousands of new homes, while we already have plenty of empty ones, which councils, despite people wanting them, demolish them and build new, inferior quality homes, that they say people want.

If they let people use the old homes, their contractor cronies won't be able to make any money.

If the council used contractors with REAL building skills, they could convert/rebuild/repair the old homes and make money, instead they pay someone to demolish them and pay a bunch of monkeys to build cheap and nasty and below standard rabbit hutches, by the thousands ,and as stated on TV a while back, rooms in new build homes here in the UK are smaller than those in the rest of the European union and many are below the minimum size and... we just don't have the skills any more to build houses that will last centuries

Dr Mercola an internet site reported 25000dead bees in just one parking lot. The 55trees were sprayed recently or the seeds they grew from kept this pesticide in them until maturity. Monsanto are tryin to get out of blames way again by hiring their own bee monitoring systym with a humoungous grant for their leading researcher. Can they be trusted! I highly doubt it.

The report that I saw mentioned a lot of dead Ladybirds (AKA Laydybug) as well & said that the trees were sprayed in order to kill aphids....Ladybirds eat aphids, but there is no profit in letting nature deal with the pests for free.......

I agree. I also hope the park owners are fined. It states on the directions that this particular insecticide not to spray in bee season.

When will Humans learn that the mismanagement of land resources anywhere in the world threatens their own existence as well as the many underprivileged but beneficial creatures in our habitat? I can't help but question whether we truly are the most intelligent of the species.

I Know! It seems that money always "Trumps" life and sustainability :(

Agreed! According to Oscar Wilde golf is a good walk spoilt anyway. We need another golf course like we need a hole in the head.
