Dear Facebook, I do not normally write in to any entity or corporation to speak my thoughts or concerns. But…I am at my end with this one. This Face book page you have allowed to continue is vile and wicked. How can you allow for such repulsion and evil to continue? Shut this page down. I am hurt and wounded by this atrocity, as are others. We are Christians of deep faith and you are breaking our hearts; Free speech does not matter in this case, you are disrespecting our faith. We pray most fervently each day for all of you especially the wicked and atheists. Do you not have any shame nor any respect for ones beliefs? Sure atheists can continue to live their lives without faith, but do not insult ours as we do not insult your non-belief. We love all of Gods children no matter what. Do you not have any consideration for the values of others? We live in extremely dark times. Can you not see this? No morals, no values, families torn apart, politicians and corporations doing as they please to get what they want, no respect for another, no love for one another. Evil has taken its form all over the world and you have contributed to this by your failure to respond to this outcry for integrity and fairness. Face book can do so much to heal and help others in so many ways. But you are going in the wrong direction if you allow this page to continue to exist. Whether or not you believe in God we pray every day that He will have mercy on you and all those you love.
Not signing.....this falls under Freedom Of Speech....that's why you CAN HAVE a Petition to begin with, BECAUSE of Freedom of Speech and why don't we throw in there Freedom Of Religion while we're at it...whether you HAVE a religion or NOT you have the RIGHT to EXPRESS it. Sorry, not signing this......
I thought there was a difference between free speech and being offensive..
Well done Mary, someone gets it after all. :)
Actually from what I've observed Lucy agnostic like me, we ust have a blessing of intelligence that let's us see why this is dumb.
YEP! We're everywhere......and getting stronger everyday.....
Interesting that people who don't want to believe in God think they are superior to those who do. Be interesting to know many of them retain their 'faith' on their deathbed. They don't need our hatred they need our intercession. There go we but for the grace of God.
We need nothing from you. What you just said is why people post the things they do about religious people. that will make it worse.
"They don't need our hatred they need our intercession." The European settlers said the said the same thing about the Native American Indians when the settlers invaded America. Their "intercession" was the attempted genocide of every tribe in America.
I hope I don't begin to believe in god on my death bed, the idea of living an eternity is a dreadful one.
I don''t believe in censorship of any kind no matter how offensive it may be. There is no right not to be offended. So sorry I cannot sign this petition.
Where would any of be if she had? Nowhere ......never been..stupid people that say these things....
Free speech means defending those you disagree with
WOW! A real toughie eh? Tell you what. Take a plane over to the Middle East and post your hatred there As for the 'Mother of God'? You can't abort what God has created. You can only abort the hatred that his creation spurs. Take a course in Hitler and Margret Sanger for that matter. Take a cooking course in the kitchen of
My email got sent without my wanting it to be sent. Now our old neighbourhood may well be more Liberal than Labor. Manners and mores change, as do political realities and preferences. But God's Truths have remained constant since the dawn of History. Signing petitions is a vital democratic right. There are many such rights, designed to promote justice. In religious terms, justice is one of the four cardinal virtues.
I've just received an email about this. I will sign the petition as soon as I find the place for a signature. Yes, Cathy: there but for the grace of God . . . I'm a Jewish convert to Catholicism, which fulfils my Judaism. For years our family--my husband and our two Right to Life children--lived next door to a Sikh family. Our Working Class neighbourhood slowly became more Middle Class and more multicultural. Bob Carr's parents lived a block away.
