I am undecided. I do not have enough information and do not wish to just follow because some famous people have put their name to this. As they say one man's terrorist is another man's saviour. I am undecided. I do not have enough information and do not wish to just follow because some famous people have put their name to this. As they say one man's terrorist is another man's saviour. Well meaning people can give rise to a cause and before you know it everyone is on board just following. Facts get distorted, we lose the plot, perspective and pure emotions ignite others to action. Not much thought and we do not find out from the other sides point of view or put ourselves in their shoes.

I did some reading on the Tibet issue and found that the early Tibetans used to be nomads and attacked China regularly like the Mongols. Also that when the Chinese Revolution of 1949 happened the well meaning Chinese went into Tibet where about 95% of the people were destitute serfs (slaves) with immense power and money in the hands of the Lamas. I read the Chinese went into Tibet to free the slaves, as they themselves freed themselves from the US backed Chiang Kai Shek govermment and before that the Manchus. Incidentally China turned to Russia for help when the West was still intent on practicing economic slavery. Perhaps if the West had been more authentic we would have been in a very different place and mind space now. But no one brings this up or even recalls such trivialities in the West.

By their actions so many Tibetans have gone to the West and have benefitted enormously in everyway, save being able to practice their religion, I hear. The West have beniffited with the presence of the Dalai Lama whose wisdom has enriched so many people. There has been many benefits however we seem to focus only on the negatives in this situation. Will the USA ever give back Texas or will the Turks ever leave Cyprus which has been divided for about 40 years? Who is to bless and who is to blame? What happened when Europeans came to North America is well documented in a trail of tears. The world at that time did not have the technology of instant communication. Things were dione in relative secrecy. Today it is different not necessarily better in every way. Its how we use it and how we see it. Take human rights - I heard some say who declared the universal bill of human rights? Food for thought.

The charisma of the DL maybe swaying Western and world opinion but I do know that in the end pressure will not stop humans from being inhuman to each other. It goes deeper than that and by pressing too much we get the opposite result as people feel cornered. Obviously there are injustices but we must be careful. To truly bring a lasting resolution to this issue we need a fundamental shift in consciousness on the planet.

Causes are in vogue now and I am not saying they do not achieve some good success but I believe we must be aware of what to petition as it can be counterproductive. In the world of duality we have right and wrong etc but that has not worked. Let us widen and deepen the dialogue with a higher awareness. If the DL could not succeed with the PRC then I believe we need to raise our game.

I hope I have added a little to the mix but realise that it might be unpopular with either faction who believe they are right and the other wrong. If after 500 years of European Enlightenment and all the great minds that it has produced we have not been able to collectively solve our problems I tend to agree that maybe the way we are going about things may not have the answer. Why keep going down the same road, in the same way, when it has not worked in the past. I believe there is now the technology to redress this but each must seek to find it. After all in the end I have never met any who tried their worse, All is not black or white. And a lot has to do with perspectives. So yes to more love, compassion, understanding and higher consciousness. There has got to be a more humane way of how we relate to each other and it our responsibility to be it.
