Whilst our Govenmemt talk of the public having to accept cut backs why don,t they lead by example and cut back on their expences.
Atos are killing disabled people by throwing them out of care homes and denying them benefits. The British Coalition employs Atos, a French Company to do the Coalitions dirty work for which they are on a £100 million pound contract. Many disabled people have died already. It is deliberate policy to kill the disabled. They are b*st*rds.
I am outraged that we show compassion for the third world but not for our own, this could be anyone that is vunerable, and we must show we care and overwhelm the don't cares of this country and parliament.
As I am not living in the UK I am not able to participate in your campaign. Sorry!
thats ok, the fact you are hear supporting us means a lot :)
I live in Kitt Green and know the Pines well as i worked at Mayfield for many years. It is a great home and should not be closed my Auntie Margaret was in their for many years, the residents do build relationships with other residents and staff and gain strong bonds with them. Its terrible that this home could be closed in October I belive it should be kept open and the residents remain in a settled and home enviroment especailly if they have no family of their own. KEEP THE PINES OPEN.
Having no Family or Kin must be of deep concern not only to those who are in that experience but also to those who can influence some improvements.
I know nothing about this situation! Why are the residents being moved out? Are they selling the Pines?
I hope you succeed in your campaign to prevent this closure which is yet again putting money ahead of people's lives. xx
To close the Pines knowing that their are people with no next of Kin is beyond belief. I agree with some of the comments made who say I am afraid of getting old. Wouldn't it be nice if a kind benefactor came along with the finance to keep it open.
I really empathise and am disgusted at the way the vulnerable older generation are abused. It makes me feel afraid to get old and to be in need of any type of help.
