I hope all of those involved directly or indirectly are not only relieved of their Hitler style positions, but they also face the full penalty for abuse to animals. The neighbor should also be held accountable. She or he knew damn well those were the neighbors' kittens. What happened to being a neighbor/friend? I am seriously pissed about this whole thing and hope the cop that shot those poor kittens in front of their family goes to hell when he dies. I'm pretty confident he will.

The actions of that officer are just haunting. Those sweet kittens deserved better from the local government than to be executed in front of small children. It just so disturbing that it has been whitewashed by the Mayor and just swept under the rug. The officer needs to be discharged and prosecuted. This story has to gain serious media attention to help the Ohio SPCA. The Ohio State Attorney and the Governor need to address this issue.

That so called mayor and his force should step down from their positions now seeing thst this has been going on way to long and no one has done anything to getthe humane society involved in this..all those animals in the past that have been murdered that were innocent looking for a good human to take them in as family and keep them safe..law enforcement needs training in animal compassion and just because the shelters are full is no reason to kill them ..the shelters should be calling in...

Even then there was no reason to kill them, the lady was currently watching over them. Why kill homeless animals anyways? It's not like we have people imprisoning or killing hobos even though they're all over the streets too. If people would simply get the strays neutered then set them free thats all that would be needed. Murdering them is going too far.

Good for the Ohio SPCA and their attorney! I hope they can save other animals from such brutal killings. Poor little kittens.

I have been a volunteer with the Montgomery County ASPCA adopting cats for over 20 years and in the first place yes this so called officer should be put in jail for awhile and never be permitted near another animal or to carry a gun again - BUT that said I would like to give this woman a thrashing for not having the cat spayed in the first place and in the second place for calling animal control - HUGE MISTAKE and the babies paid the price - they are all to blame.

definitely ... I work with rescue also. She could have taken other action, and should have. There is a lot of info about TNR available and rescues that she could have called. An ugly situation all the way around ... plus the un-spayed momma kitty is probably off getting pregnant again as we speak.

THESE SWEET INNOCENT LITTLE BABIES WILL NEVER HAVE THE LOVE OF A FAMILY BECAUSE THIS JERK ENDED THEIR LIVES. SOMEONE PUT HIM AWAY FOR LIFE AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED. THERE'S BEEN WAY TOO MUCH OF KILLING OF ANIMALS THAT WAS NOT OR IS NO NECESSARY AND IT NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH RIGHT NOW. IT'S THOSE WHO TAKE THE LAW AND A LIFE INTO THEIR OWN HANDS THAT CAUSE A BAD REP FOR OTHER WHO DO GOOD.

The Ohio SPCA is NOT connected to the ASPCA in NYC. We are staffed by volunteers and operate with very few funds. We do a lot with little. The money goes to the animals we rescue.

We also have alot more people and alot more animals. And NYC even makes available animals to other states shelters, private individuals, fost homes, etc. via craigs list in different locales and helps provide transportation!!!! Little lazy over there in Ohio are we? Barney Fife would have done better!

It's an outrage. This person should not be in the position he is in, he clearly is dangerous and thinks he can wield a deadly weapon against his victims...animals now humans next if he is not stopped. He clearly is an animal hater.

It's POLICY to shoot innocent animals??? God help the humans that live in that county/city/state!

Well........if there's no room at a homeless center or jail? The inmates are running the asylum.
